We lived in Perth for over 17 years and I don’t think I have ever been to northbridge Plaza haha or the cultural centre haha, good article. If I was too recommend places I would definitely say head to the beaches, namely City Beach/Scarborough Beach. Take a ferry across the river and walk to the zoo.
Kings park Rio Tinto park is brand new and the best place for a family day: it has waterfalls, playgrounds and is a nice little wonderland to take a picnic and just chill.
IF you want any more info on where to go for what send me an email or visit me on Facebook – Travel With Bender.
Hi Erin,
That is so funny how we live somewhere and yet not see everything! We too have done the same 🙂
Will have to touch base with you as soon as we are in Perth, to make sure we see everything there is while we are there!
Cheers

Rotto, or Rottnest has to make it on to a list of some kind too. I reckon it’s one of the most unique places and so close to the city too. Highly recommended as a thing to do in Perth. Maybe that is in the “top ten” list 🙂

Hi Lisa, I find it interesting you would include a blog about a city you have yet to visit. I live in Perth, have done for nearly 30 years and can see many flaws in your guest blog above. I’m sorry but if you are going to tell people about things to do in a city make sure you get the facts straight and not all muddled up like you have. Does the guest blogger live in Perth or are they just taking a punt on what might be the best things to see?
London Court is only 1 little mall with no department stores, only specialty/boutique shops and a cafe or two.
His Majesty’s Theatre, whilst being in the CBD, is no where near the Perth Cultural Centre. The theatre located here is the State Theatre Centre. The Perth Cultural Centre is also home to the State Library of WA.
Kings Park and Bold Park, whilst both nice in their own right are suburbs apart and I personally wouldn’t put Bold Park in anywhere near the same league as Kings Park. Yes, I have been to both.
Just something to take on board for next time.
Hi Teresa,
I am so sorry but you must not realise – the Guest Sponsored Blog Post is not my words, nor did I write it. I am only sharing what another wonderful traveler wrote.
I did not write it, nor have I researched the topic “5 things to do on your Perth Holiday”, if you have something that you would like to share regards your experiences in Perth than I am more than happy to hear from you.
Maybe you could read our other blog posts and see what we have experienced 🙂
Cheers
Lisa
