Today we finally went back to Kondalilla Falls, searching for the mystery Geocache that we had found awhile ago, because we wanted to check out the contents and find who owned it, and see whose names were in the log book. Unfortunately the plastic food container of goodies was gone 🙁
But we did have fun walking down to the water fall, and exploring. Kyle spotted a big eel in the water but when he tried to show David it had moved on. We did want to go down to the very bottom of the water fall but a big landslide had happened, with big rocks on the footpath so it was blocked off, still wonder how many people walk over the orange tape and walk on down?
But today we couldn’t find the box at all 🙁
With the Information about the Closed bottom waterfall section letting walkers know they can only go so far!
He has hid in it last time we went to Kondalilla Falls, and he was keen to climb in again to show his Dad. Mind you he was scared of Termites still being in there!
Sure hope no-one was walking down there when the landslide happened. Would have been freaky!
Both boys have head colds at the moment so they did well to walk down to the waterfall, even though it was very cold for them! David made them a “Chicken Curry Dinner” tonight to help with their sore throats!
Yet they were both troopers walking down to the Kondalilla Falls, and for exploring the rock areas.
Walking back to the car as the sun was going down. We sure had fun but it was getting chilly! We really would love to do one of the longer walks, and even stay at one of the camping spots – but maybe when its a bit warmer!
Have You Been To Kondalilla Falls?
Cheers
Lisa

Ah, what I would give to take a dip into that beautiful falls. Well, I just might. Now that the NBA draft is over, I can finally go places. No need to be a couch potato anymore. lol
