Yesterday I was not in a happy mood by the late afternoon! To say the least….actually I so needed “Me Time” or at least a Nanny Nap but I had to keep on going.
Learning To Accept
I so am going to learn more about accepting and more about being grateful. I snapped yesterday afternoon, and as soon as I did I was kicking myself. At least I would kick myown butt if my legs were able to bend like that. I need to Learn To Accept – accept my situation as for what it is, and be more grateful for what I do have.
So I have come to an idea – actually it was an idea that I was reading about in a Magazine at the Library yesterday. It was where one Mummy Blogger decided to take a photo every day for 365 days in a row, and have one one nice thing to say about that photo. I thought (while I was reading the article) that is such a perfect way to change my mindset!
Learning To Accept ~
I need to accept what is going on in our life!
Yesterday I started that very challenge.
I didnt start it here at our Blog (yesteday) because I had already pre-written the blog post about Judging Others, and I wanted a clean start. So I shared it on my own facebook page, and over at New Life on the Road Page. Here is the Challenge….
For the next 365 days I am going to see if I can find one photo a day of something, anything that I am grateful for, and I am going to share it. Maybe then I will have more patience with my family (especially my hubby!) and have less to complain about….after all we do have it damn easy in Australia compared to many other countries around the world.
Be More Grateful ~
For having Kyle in our family 🙂
Being More Grateful
I am hoping that being more Grateful in my life (Style) that I will attract more into our life to be grateful for. And less time to worry about the stuff that does not matter. The stuff that should not be taking up space in my head.
Love that I Got To See This ~

Spreading The Love Around
I feel like I am needing to have more patience, and less stress in our New Life, so I am now going to look for the love, spreading it around and sharing it! That way my boys will see me smiling more, being more grateful for having them in our life, and see that they are important to our family. Mabye that will help them to play together and to get along together? That is what I so need right now…
Learning To Accept and Being More Grateful.
Do You Have Something To Be Grateful For? Then share it at this blog or share it at New Life on the Road facebook page 🙂
Cheers

New Life on the Road
PS:- I am also not good with saying Sorry so I am going to learn how to do that as well…starting with my family! Sorry I snapped yesterday – I am going to try to be more grateful and accepting xxx
We all snap from time to time, that is life. When children fight, some days it can drive you mad. After reading your post yesterday on ‘When Did It Become OK To Judge Others’, I am grateful I live in Australia.
Hi Kerry,
I love that – you are so amazing how you have read my posts and still stuck around to leave a comment…thanking you for the support. We are so lucky to be living in Australia – we are the lucky country.
Yesterday – I did snap at my family. Today I made a point of being more grateful and accepting. It felt so nice 🙂
Cheers

We all have those days, Lisa. Don’t feel bad. And living in a motor home, I can imagine there’s some challenges with space there too. I admire you all!
Love what you’re grateful for though. x

Ha Lisa, We must be twins- When my kids were younger I would lose the plot often. Then I would feel guilty – but was not so good at saying sorry! I think your idea and commitment to finding something to be grateful for every day is wonderful. Good for you!

What a great idea Lisa! Think I may do something similar … but maybe at 52 photo challenge (one pic a week) given our crazy life!
I’ve been working of something similar … being the change I want to see in others. If I want our children to speak respectfully to others then I MUST speak respectfully to them at all times. It’s amazing to see the fruits of it!!
Keep enjoying your new life and your precious boys!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think we all go through times when things get to us and we snap whether it is over something small or something big. The main thing for me is being able to step back and look at why I reacted that way and then try to tackle it differently in the future. Being able to apologise is a big thing – good for you !!!!
Have the best weekend possible.

Hi Me,
I like your idea of stepping back and looking at “Why” you reacted and tackle it differently! I think thats a great idea 🙂
I like how you went for a run even though it was raining! Thats incredible 🙂

Great idea. As a matter of fact, I was thinking of starting a tumblr blog with the idea to post a picture a day for every day of our rtw trip annotated with a ‘learning’ from our trip. We hope it will help to remind us how important it was for us to travel the world so we don’t forget when the times get tough during our ‘regular’ life.

Hi Martin,
That sounds like a great idea! I love taking photos and having a world trip would be ideal for sharing them and remembering why you travelled! Would love to know if you do start it on your Tumblr blog so that I could check it out 🙂
Cheers
