Living in our Motorhome, with four of our five boys, and limited Storage Space I need all the Motorhome Storage Solutions that I can get!
We have a huge cupboard at the back of the Motorhome where each shelf is for one child. On that shelf was clothes, books, homeschooling material, and toys. Sometimes it was such a mess and nothing could be found. I was going nuts trying to find clothes each morning – and so I asked David if he could think of a solution.
We started out with this as our boys wardrobe…..
Each Shelf Soon Become a Nightmare! ~
Even though they had to clean it up they still couldn’t find clothes!
Now the wardrobe looks like this…..
He came up with this…….
Nicholas Shelf ~
The Blue storage Boxes are from Crazy Clarks for about $7.00
and today we found the Green Frog Storage box from a discount store in Mackay for $4.00 🙂
Zachery Shelf ~
All green Storage boxes from Crazy Clarks.
Cameron Shelf ~
David made these Cubby Holes for their Clothes but didnt want to make any more for Nic or Zac because it was getting to heavy (we have to think about weight issues for going over bridges!)
Now that the boys cupboards are all sorted for keeping it easy to use, I started on the Kitchen Cupboards!
So far the Tea/Coffee/Sugar etc Cupboard is sorted. It now looks like this…
Dates, Sugar, Tea Bags, Herbal TeaBags ~
Plus our Natural Healing Oils are now in containers!
Next cupboard to attack is our Herbs. David LOVES to cook and we have so many different packets of herbs that need sorting! Must remember to take a photo before he gets it into the new containers! Our solution to knowing which jar is going to hold which herb?
Easy! We will be buying a label maker and putting labels on each jar. Was meant to buy it today but I forgot while I was out shopping!
These Magnetic Jars are from Bunnings ~
Each Jar is magnetic so it will be safer for when we are driving. No more spills to clean up when we have stopped 🙂
We will have more Motorhome Storage Solutions For Cupboards as time goes on! David is getting our Motorhome ready for registration.
Today he picked up the Splash Back for the Gas Stove Top.
Seatbelts have been purchased for a great price (Gosh we saved so much by buying in bulk!)
New Windscreen for the front window is being organised.
Then its time to think about getting the old school bus (NEW life on the Road Motorhome!) ready to hit the road 🙂
We Cant Wait To Head To Canberra.
Where Are You All At The Moment?

Hi Lisa! I’ve been trawling your site for all your wonderful wisdom about bus referbishmetns. We are considering buying an old Bedford. Can you tell me about the seat belts?? Where did you get them and dis you install them yourselves? thanks a lot! I dont want to have no belts for the kids.

Hi Jill,
We purchased the seat belts from Super Cheap Auto and then David (being a boat builder/caravan builder) installed them according to the RTA rules/regulations. Then they had to be approved by an certified engineer in Mackay. The rules regards seat belts are really strict – David had to re-adjust his seat belt to meet the standards.
Bedford buses rock!!! They have such character 🙂
Regards Seat belts – Make sure you have enough beds per seat belts. The motor registry in Bundaberg made sure we had the right seats to belts ratio, as well as make sure you have a dinning table (to be classed as a Motorhome) of course from State to State there are many different rules/regulations. I have heard that Victoria is the easiest state for Rego!
Happy to answer any questions, and all the best with purchasing a Bedford. Be great to meet you one day somewhere around Australia.
Cheers
Lisa
Sorry – Its not Super Cheap Auto – it was Repco that he got the seat belts from!! I have uploaded a Youtube Clip to share about our Seats/Seat Belts 🙂
