On Monday we decided to drive down to Mogo – actually we were not exactly sure where we were going to end up but we drove for as long as possible and stopped there.
Along the way Cameron and Kyle ate the sandwiches that I had made for lunch time so we decided to make a stop at The Heritage Bakery. I had seen it on my way through to Ulladulla a few weeks back and I was keen to stop on in and see what their Pies/Sausage Rolls were like compared to Robertson Pie Shop.
Driving through Milton we noticed all of these scary looking ghosts outside of houses and shops. Turns out that on a long weekend Milton has a Scarecrow festival – not sure what happens over the weekend but they sure had the town spirit behind the theme!
Across the Road from the Heritage Bakery ~
The Scarecrow Festival!!!
The Heritage Bakery
At the Big Barn looking doors you enter into a world of warmth ::
Big Doors ~
heads into a place that feels so friendly.
Where we stood and tried to make up our minds with what to have!
Spun me out how long the Bakery ~
has been there for!!
Both Cameron and Kyle were Drooling ~
waiting to have only Cakes instead of Pies/Sausage Rolls!!
Good Variety on the Menu ~
Lots of yummy treats too.
He LOVES Sausage Rolls!
Never asks for a pie.
Cameron Normally Eats a Pie ~
So I was surprised to see him eating a Sausage Roll 🙂
So Here is His Pie ~
Country Steak and Vegetable Pie
I ordered My Favorite ~
And They Toasted it…….
I so am going to ask for it to be toasted from now on!
Cameron LOVES eating slices ~
If he could he would eat desserts for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!
There was so much character on each wall ~
with posters and paintings!
The Sign Outside ~
and the toilets are the Best Public Toilets I have ever seen!!
So far we have been to “Freddo Pies” and “Robertson Pie Shop” plus we go to a Local Bakery for the best Sausage Rolls ever {haven’t blogged about that one yet!!} along with many other little bakeries that I have never thought to share.
How Does The Heritage Bakery Fair?
Well their Pies are Better than Freddo Pies, but not as many varieties as what Freddo Menu has.
Robertson Pie Shop still has better quality pies Compared to Freddo Pies and The Heritage Bakery. Actually Robertson Pies are the best so far compared to anywhere!!
But the Feta and Cheese Roll and the Sausage rolls are way better at The Heritage Bakery.
So all in all I would gladly stop again if we are going through anytime soon – and would recommend you try them for self and see what you think!!!
Have You Been to The Heritage Bakery Before?
Thanking you for following our journey.
Cheers
Lisa

I so love Cameron’s hat. I love it when towns get behind a theme. I wonder what else spooky they had happening?
