Yesterday was the best day of my life. We waited seven months! For the day that Melbourne was coming back to Sydney, saying Goodbye so long ago was hard now I couldn’t wait to say hello. I was actually very nervous about his return because we hadn’t seen him for so very long. And I was wondering what he would be like, and how our family would be…silly me cause of course it was all fine!
We Waited Seven Months For This Day ::
Seven LONG months for the ship to come back into the very spot that it left.
And it was the most incredible experience ever…..
Serious Talk Going Down?
Not Sure But I just LOVE the way they are “Like Father Like Son”
We Got These T-Shirts Made from “The T-Shirt Mill” – it was the last minute idea so we paid for express postage! Super happy that I got the T-Shirts done because our Son LOVED them.
HOW Crazy Are They TO Have the Bins Waiting?
You reckon they could have waited to we all were gone before they placed the bins there for their rubbish! I mean gee they sure spoilt our Photos, how rude of them!!
The Melbourne Ship Came in So Slowly ~
It was so very slow…but that’s cause we couldn’t wait to see our son!
I COULDN”T Spot him ~
Yeah I couldn’t find my own son….which kinda freaked me out 🙂
It took a family member to spot him and then we took a Picture and zoomed in to make sure
Yeah our son is there and I couldn’t spot him for ages! Then we found him on the Right in front of the “Melbourne” sign!! But he couldn’t see us till the ship stopped and he spotted us in the crowd with all of us wearing T-shirts…
So glad that I had came up with this idea cause he let me know later on that they were “Sick” – which means in his language that He LOVED them!
This gingerbread house was made around Christmas Time. But it was sitting in a container in a cupboard waiting for our sons return! It was so very funny….
Our oldest Woody Son was sharing how he broke down walls in the dHows {the bady guys ships} to find the drugs, when Nicholas broke down the wall of the best gingerbread house to find Lollies inside….
We were like “Oh so you can find drugs, and Nic can find lollies” 🙂
And let me share with you all…..that Gingerbread House did not last long, it was gone in a matter of minutes and it was beautiful!
Wished we had taken way more pictures of us all!!! Guess we were all enjoying the day and just forgot about the camera.
We are so happy that our oldest son is home, and we get to spend time with him as he has a couple of weeks leave before his next job assignment. Its so good to have him home, so good to hear his stories and so good to know he is safe n sound!
Thanking you “Melbourne” for bringing him home safe n sound, thank you to all those that were on board for working well together and doing such an amazing job, you guys rock.
We waited seven months for this day, almost nine months like a pregnancy!!!
Here Is A Brief Memory From the Day ::
Welcome Home Hayden, We Love YOU.
Have You Ever Waited So Long To See Someone?
Cheers

New Life on the Road
That is so right, it was nearly as long as the first time you had to wait for him. He is looking great and very happy. I am glad he liked the shirts 🙂 and the gingerbread house 🙂

Reading your post I was so happy to have him home 🙂 It must be so hard to be apart from your baby no matter how old, tough and strong they are. Enjoy the next few weeks. X

It was a very long time for him to be out at sea but he is so happy with all they have done over seas, all of the drugs they have caught!! And he is so glad to be home 🙂
Spending as much time with him as possible over the next few weeks cause he has the time off!!
Woo hoo! Welcome Home, Hayden! Awesome trinkets that he brought back. Is that a horned pig? I’m always fascinated listening to my military friends, current and retired, talk about their deployments and tour of duties. They have the most amazing stories to tell. Especially one of my friends who was on nuke sub. THAT was riveting. So, I’m sure Hayden kept you glued to his tales of amazing things he experienced. LOVED THIS, Lisa, and so happy your boy is home! Hugs 🙂

Thanking you so much for your kind words. xxx
How beautiful! I watched the news and was so touched by how big a deal it was that homecoming of all those Navy boys! How incredible that he was involved in that drug bust and on that mission. Congratulations! I hope he has a good long time at home with you all.
