We finally left Bundaberg! It was really late in the afternoon when we had packed up to leave! David had to try and fit so much into our Boot of Rose as he still needs most of his tools to finish off the last minute details….important things like more water tanks and solar power! We sure were glad to pull into the caravan park and arrive safely (I was worried about David driving so late at night after working so many late nights to get us on the road)!
If you click on the photo of our motorhome it will take you to the video of David driving out of Bundaberg!
Arrive Safely At The Sunshine Coast
We arrived safely about 6,45pm. The caravan park was already closed for the night so we had to ring the bell to get the owners to open up for us! The guy that came to the door was really nice, and understanding about the late hour. Actually I have had to speak with at least two staff members and they are so friendly and nice! They are trying to cater for our needs, with how long the bus is, and with how long we need to be here before we move on. Due to school holidays coming up we are going to have to move three times in the caravan park. At least we get to stay in this one spot until Tuesday, then from Tuesday to Friday we are going to be in one spot that will have power but no water. From next Friday to whenever we need that is where we will be staying (with power and water!)
Seeing The Sun Set as we Drive to the Sunshine Coast!
We were so happy to Arrive Safely (and all together) late last night, so much so that we did not get a chance to see the caravan park as we had showers, a quick bite to eat and then straight to bed! I think our boys were asleep before there heads hit the pillow!
Heading Out for Fun Today
The Sunshine Coast is where my heart is – I love the ocean, the water, the sand, Coolum and all the people that live in the area. It is so much fun to visit a place where I feel so much at peace. I guess as we start to travel around Australia I will be falling in love with a lot of places! Here are so amazing photos from our fun in the sun today!

It is so good to see our boys having fun at the beach! They sure enjoyed themselves, and did not want to leave at all 😉

Happy To Say We Love The Sunshine Coast
So happy that we have arrived safely, and that we are now going to have lots of fun exploring the Sunshine Coast! We loved our time in Bundy and we were so spoilt living on acreage…. I can also see us all having fun at the beach, and getting to know the area.
If you have any suggestions of places to visit while in the Sunshine Coast area, could you please leave your ideas below!
Over the next few weeks we are going to be catching up with so many wonderful travelling families, friends, and amazing people we have gotten to know! I love our New Life on the Road 🙂
We Love The Sunshine Coast.

New Life on the Road
G’day Lisa,
Glad to see the day has finally arrived. I’ve been keeping an eye on you ever since you announced that you’d bought the bus on eBay. As you continue your travels I’ll be watching the blog and living vicariously up here in the Northern Hemisphere.
All the best to you and your family in your adventure,
Don

YAY! Congrats you guys are on the road. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time in Coolum and the Sunshine Coast. Although I have to say Northern NSW and Gold Coast Hinterland are my favourites but I’m a NSW girl so perhaps biased.
Love the photo of your son buried in the sand. That must have been some serious digging to bury him so deep.

Hello Tracy,
It sure was fun at the beach! I reckon as we travel that we will find lots of gorgeous places that I will fall in love with everytime! We actually want to buy land sometime soon (so that we can store our shipping container) but until we see some more places (other towns) we cant decide where to buy!
We are also from NSW – David loves Northern NSW, and also way down South!
Cheers

Hello Jane,
Thank you so much for visting our site 🙂
We love the Sunshine Coast, but I guess will say that about a lot of the places we are going to visit as we travel Australia! The Sunset Photo was taken by our second boy (he is 15) as we travelled from Bundaberg to Sunshine Coast. Let us know if you are ever up this way, would love to meet you! Amazing how beautiful our own country is and we never get to see it!
Cheers
