This was meant to go live like ages ago…but life happens! Actually Kids happen – one returns from Seven Months Deployment and then becomes so very sick! And then there is there our other sons – life just seems to be really crazily busy at the moment and I trying to get back on top of everything. And gee…the emails keep rolling on in!
Australia Working Visa Book
I was asked to read “How To Get Your 2nd Year WHV in Australia” book {By Harvie Kalazaki} and give a review. Glad to because I have always wondered how one could travel around Australia, backpacking and working from place to place.
Always wondered – how does one come from overseas and work here. It is a great way to travel our gorgeous country, and perfect for those who are young/single/backpacker/explorer.
The book actually helped clear up a lot of my questions about ::
- Tax and working
- How to apply for a working visa
- How to find the work
- Where to go for the best seasonal work {remember that depends on the climate!}
- What to do for transport
- Living accommodation
- And so much more!
The ebook is a personal experience (From a real person who came here and travelled/worked} , and is only a guideline for what/how/when/why you can work in Australia for 88 days and apply for a 2nd Visa.
So yes it has lots of great tips and hints – at the end of the day its really up to you on applying the information for your working around Australia experience.
I do know one thing! I think the book covers everything you will need to know, its detailed with a lot of useful links/information through the book – links that will take you to government websites to start the process – from applying for a working VISA, to tax information, employment agencies, internet Job Sites, couching surfing, Airbnb, Medicare, Ambulance cover, Bank Accounts, Cheap flights….like I said there is a lot of useful links through out the book.
As well as how to plan a budget so that you are saving as much as your pay as possible. Basically its your one stop place for “Australia Working Visa” 🙂

What a great resourceful book. I think it can be really daunting for someone to come over on a working holiday visa. Especially as most of these travellers are young.

Thank you both Harvie for the book and Lisa for the chance of winning it. I can’t wait to get stuck into it. 🙂
