After laying low for two weeks with the headcold/virus {which I would never ever wish on our worse enemies!!} we are now back to normal. And we spent two hours exploring more of Wollongong yesterday.
We have been to Bass Point Reserve twice so far but haven’t been able to walk as much as we wanted due to the weather.
We love seeing the Boston Shipwreck Memorial at Basspoint Reserve, have been there to show our oldest son who is in the navy!
Yesterday was perfect, the sun was out and the wind was not as strong as what it has been! We all enjoyed getting out of the motorhome, and all enjoyed the feeling of wondering.
Exploring Bass Point Reserve Rock Pools
So glad the day was perfect for our long walk….we all needed to stretch out our legs, and to get back to our normal self!
Kyle is always way ahead of all of us, running his long legs off! Then David is next, followed by Cameron and I am always in the back of our walks….I normally stop a million times to take photos!
As soon as we started our walk David’s phone rang It was our oldest son so we took the time to have fun on the rocks while David took the time to connect with our oldest so that he could catch up with how his week was.
Actually the “Rocks” were far too large so not much skipping was happening – it was more of a “Chuck” and watch it sink to the bottom day!
Everywhere I go lately I see “Love Hearts” – now there is one in the rocks!!
He carried them all over the place, then back on the dirt track to our Campervan! He is going to give them to a lady in the caravan park who owns a Bird.
He is now off the phone…wondering what he is day dreaming about?
First time we have ever come across a Dead Cuttlefish! Kyle loves to find their Cuttlebones when at the beach yet we have never seen a cuttlefish before.
Walking along we got to see many dead cuttlefish…never seen one alive so I wonder how it moves in the water?
Walked around the bend and came across another memorial plaque for another diver who passed away at Bass Point Reserve
I used “Paint” to draw the love heart on our Pictures but you can still see the green paint outline and it so looks like a love heart…perfect way to end our great day walking at Bass Point Reserve
Have You Been To Bass Point Reserve?
Cheers
Lisa
New Life on the Road
Ha, Kyle is EXACTLY like me when I was his age on through high school always wanting to be the first one down the trail or to the top of the mountain for first glimpse of the mountain tip view!! I love old shipwrecks as long as it’s not due to a really sad story – i.e. The Arizona Memorial in Honolulu. That was very intense. The kids are also as I was as a kid at the beach exploring every nook and cranny possible on the beach, the rocks, in the eddy’s and tide pools! Gawd that was so much fun. Termite Barrier?? 🙂

Mike – Kyle is so very fast when ever we are out n about! He loves exploring. Yeah shipwrecks are something – but the story is incredible because so many where saved that night!
How did that termite barrier get there!
