A few weekends ago….or at least three weekends ago….Kyle and I went to a Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea {Fundraiser} at his Grandparent’s Church in Bundaberg. Another gorgeous Church member put together the most amazing room ever…and it was all pink {my favorite colour!}
Church Hall Decorated For The Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea::
We have a Family member who we remembered. We added her sweet name to the Wall, and left our love support there. It was for David’s Sister – who was far too young to have Breast Cancer but unfortunately it took her from her family – who love her and miss her so very much.
My sweet little man….when did you grow up? I can’t believe how beautiful you looked in this shirt, with the Cowboy hat and jeans. He wants some boots cause he wants to be a “Real Cowboy on a real farm” 🙂
On the way home we stopped for a Snake…
We drove past it, and I did a quick U-Turn to see if it was alive or needed help. So I asked Kyle to carry a Big Stick incase it was alive!
He is our own little “Steve Irwin” with animals, actually I think he will end up working in a Zoo or owning a farm one day because he LOVES animals.
The day was such a great day – I donated two massages that were Auctioned off and the money was given to the Fundraiser. And my little man got to be with a room full of ladies, and to hear their stories about Breast Cancer. It was a great moment because he was able to be there for his Grandma and help her – creating memories that he will have for the rest of his life.
That is what life is all about – creating memories – being there for the Good News and the not so good things. Even though we don’t go down the Medical way of life, we still offer our support and love when needed.
Have You Been Affected By Breast Cancer?
Cheers
Lisa
