Today I feel like I am suffering from a major hangover, without drinking anything the night before! Soon realised that it was because of the use of too much lavender! David has been using it on three of our boys to try to help them to sleep…and accidently spilt some on himself.
That was last night – I was fine going to sleep and I didn’t feel the effects. Until this morning! I woke up feeling really spaced out. So much so that I have not being able to do anything all day.
Blue Water Lagoon Visit
Then I realised that I havent shared our wonderful weekend. On Saturday we went to Blue Water Lagoon in Mackay. We have been trying to get there for a few weekends, but haven’t had the time. The sun was out, it was a perfect day, and we had to shop for Fruit n Veggies as well as get Gas Bottles filled up. Perfect all round – getting out and about in the winter sun and exploring the Lagoons.
Yesterday I posted some of the photos from Seaworld GoldCoast Australia – with the promise that I would share more about our magical visit! We have been to many theme parks but would have to say that SeaWorld was one that we all enjoyed – from the Dolphins, to the Jet Ski Stunt Riders, to the Seal Show and even the rides.
Seaworld GoldCoast Australia
When you walk through the gates of Seaworld they have a Skyhigh Skyway so we waited in line for a ride that went over the main section of the theme park…that way we were able to see where our boys wanted to head to first, and what they wanted to do!
As we were looking around Dreamworld last Saturday, we were not sure if we should go on over to White Water World – we were starting to run out of time…but our boys decided that they wanted to see what it was like, even if we had less than an hour to closing time!
We are so glad that we listened to our boys request! As White Water World Goldcoast soon became our all time favorite! Watching our boys have fun in the water, while we got to cool our feet off rocked.
White Water World Goldcoast
Dreamworld and White Water World Goldcoast are connected together. (Never knew that before!) So we were able to walk between the two. I took Nic and Kyle back to the car to get changed into swimmers and re-fill water bottles. After we entered White Water World, Kyle was keen to hit the water asap…so I let him run off while Nicholas went looking for David and our other three boys.
Yesterday we fulfilled a promise to our boys. I have always promised all of them (sorry that our oldest son wasn’t with us!) that we would take them to DreamWorld and White Water World. A promise that I have finally been able to say came true!
Along the way to the GoldCoast we had to stop. We didn’t have a camera that I could take good quality photos with (Our old one had recently been accidentally broken) so we stopped and picked up a really good deal. Will have more about that story another time 🙂
Our Visit To DreamWorld
We had been counting the days down till we could go. After our trip to Melbourne we woke up every morning and the first thing on our boys minds were “How Many Days Till We Go To DreamWorld and White Water World on the Gold Coast?”. Every day we had the biggest count down…only 7 more days, only 6 more days, only 5 more days and so on.
On Friday night our boys were so excited (well most of them!) that they could hardly sleep!
