New Baby Sister

Last Saturday we went into Vet Cross in Bundaberg to look at the sweet dogs from Red Collar Rescue Biggenden. ONLY to look mind you. Well one thing led to another and now we have a New Baby Sister.

Yeah I am the worlds biggest sucker ever. Okay yeah I think she is super cute and perfect for our family.

As soon as we arrived I was drawn to a sweet little girl called “Piper” and Kyle was like “Please Mum” – yeah totally not the dog we had in mind. We have always wanted another Jack Russell to replace “Jessy” that we used to have visit us {she was a neighbours dog}Well we ended up sitting there, and Piper Jumped into Kyle’s lap and both David and I looked at each other and just knew that she was the one.

Campervan Curtains

When we purchased our Campervan back down in Wollongong it came with some really rough thin curtains that had no backing, and was hand stitched. Actually I am surprised that they were able to hang up without falling down!

The sun would come in at the crack of dawn, and it would wake us all up way too early. I have been wanting to make new Campervan Curtains for so very long but seen as how I am not a sewer I kept on putting it off. Now its a matter of they have to be done.

Motorhome Must Have Items

Where Have I been? Super busy with Family {long story}, Homeschooling, Studying for my Massage Remedial Diploma, Geocaching and trying to get on top of everything that needs to be done! Oh and try and find time to sleep 🙂

I haven’t blogged in ages, like I used to. I have had to let it go, and focus on whats really important at the moment. And I sure miss getting on here, and connecting with you all. But life happens and I am happy that we are able to help out David’s Parents. They need us here at the moment, and that is what we are focusing on.

We do have something exciting about to happen, and we have plans in place, but we can’t share it here at the moment {I don’t want to jinx it!!!}

Stickers By Kyle

Kyle walks around all day long with different sayings! Its really very cute, and I can’t remember when he first started saying “Mum, I was Born Ready” whenever we asked him if “Are you ready to go, shoes/hat/drink bottle?” He walked at 7 1/2 months {yeah I cried, and used to sit him down cause I didn’t want my baby to be walking at such an early age}.

Some of his Birth Story is in a Blog Post About how he came super fast <—-Click on the hi-lighted words to read all about it!

And he sure has had a LOT of adventure for his very short 10 years of being on here, and we love that we get to be his parents, seeing the world through his eyes. Luckily for us he has a very good Angel looking after him!

Saying Goodbye To Family

Today we had to say Goodbye. And I am not good at Saying Goodbye to Family – I cry. Every. Single. Time.  I promise myself not to cry and within minutes of the hugs with the boys I start crying. Wished I wasn’t such a baby!

I am not sure why I thought we had more time with them – the days just flew bye far too fast. And I didn’t even get to give any of them massages because I kept thinking we had another day with them.

Last night we celebrated Nicholas 17th Birthday party earlier then his actual day – Still can’t believe he turned 17 already. I put the candles on his Lemon Meringue Pie last night, and almost stopped at 15 candles but then had to think about how old he was turning!

Merry Christmas From The Woodys

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas From The Woody’s. We had way too much yummy food, and now we are ready for a sleep! Mind you our Boys are ready for water fights!

No one thought to get DVD’s gifts for the boys {yeah how silly are we!} even though we would like to chill out we are working out how to help them with their excess sugar hit from food/drinks.

They sure did have fun playing in the swimming pool.

The Windows We Used Are No Good

In our renovations with our Motorhome David wanted windows from one Company but they didn’t have them in stock at the time so we went with Aussie Travelers Windows. Which was fine until we wanted customer service.

Well to be honest we haven’t been impressed with the quality of these windows from the moment they went in. They lost their Strip down the edge – the Fluffy strip that is attached to the part of the window that protects it as it slides when you are opening it and closing it. Which means that its scratched every single time you opened it and closed it.

Then there is the fact that our wind out windows down the back flyscreen has come away from the window – and it can’t be replaced easily.

Small Motorhome Water Tanks

Now that our Motohrome is back David has been super busy trying to work on the issues that we have always had, and have always put up with! You know that saying “Never enough time when you have the money, and never enough money when you have the time” – yeah we have had lots of projects needed to be done on our Motorhome that the very Small Motorhome Water Tanks have always been pushed to the side and forgotten about!

The tanks have started leaking again – they leaked on/off over the years and he has repaired them that many times that its not worth fixing. He pulled the three tanks out – way to small for our sized family – and decided one of them is beyond repairing and has left the other two sitting in the grass underneath to see if the leak is now fixed.

Black Forest Cake Gluten Free

David is our Cook in our family – I cook because I have to, he cooks because he wants to. And he experiments, adding a little bit of this and a little bit of that until he gets the recipe right. I cook the recipes I know, stick to them and don’t experiment with any new ingredients!

Now that we eat mostly “Gluten Free” and try to stay Sugar Free as much as possible he has lots of ingredients, and lots of ideas and puts them together. Sometimes they don’t work out {He is still experimenting with his Gluten Free Sugar Free Bases for his Pumpkin Pies}, sometimes they do work out and taste amazing.

Davids Birthday Breakfast And Dinner

Last weekend was David’s Birthday. He didn’t want to celebrate it with any fuss so I wasn’t allowed to mention to family or announce it online. So I respected his wishes and I didn’t even speak with our oldest boys to let them know – he didn’t want gifts. He wanted a day of fun, a day spent with family and Breakfast/Dinner with his favourite foods.

I was joking with him about “Getting Old” – but in actually fact he is not getting old, its only a number and you can feel as young as you like! Its actually a mindset thing – you can feel as older then age or even younger then your age. He says that he still feels like he is 21, but seen the ages of our oldest Woody Sons are around that he can’t be!

He wanted Bacon for Breakfast ::
