This year {2013} for the very first time I have felt the need to send out Christmas Cards. I am not sure why? I am not sure what’s behind the reason but its like I have wanted an offline connection with our online friends, reconnect with our family and friends and add more friends to the list!!
I love the idea of sending a gift so maybe that is one reason why I wanted to send out Christmas Cards 2013, and maybe its because I am getting a little bit older and wiser 🙂
Or maybe its because of my oldest son….you see we are allowed to send him Parcels that weigh up to 2 Kilos for free. And I have loved the idea of him being able to open up something from home and feel like he knows we are thinking of him. I like the idea of sending a personal parcel.
It got me to thinking….how many people in this world do not get anything in the post for Christmas? I have been very slack with not sending them out over the last few years {oh OK lots of years!!} so I am making up for lost time.
I am even sending them out with a Photo. That way a bit of our family gets to spend Christmas with your family and we all get to feel the Christmas Spirit.
The Christmas Feeling
We all get to re-connect offline instead of only on the online world.
We all get to feel a part of a community. We all get to feel the love.
So I am asking you all to join in on the Fun.
Join The Christmas Cards 2013 Fun Idea ::
Send a Christmas Card to someone you care about, or someone you know but haven’t sent a personal card to before. Lets see if we can “Pay This Forward” by sending Christmas Cards World Wide….
We have sent out over 30 cards so far, one even went to Italy the other day!!! All the way from Australia to Italy with our love. Where could you send one to?
Or someone you love but haven’t spoken to in a while.
Or someone you see all the time but don’t send a card to.
Or someone that is living with you but still could do with a smile!
Or anyone 🙂
We have sent one to Bundaberg.
One to Newcastle.
One To Nambour.
One To Canberra.
And more locations…..
We would love to keep on sending them…if you want one let us know here on the blog or email lisawsdream@gmail.com and we can get address information sorted.
The IDEA ::
I want to hear that you took the time to let someone know you care.
Yes we all get so Busy Caught Up In Life – I am so guilty of that. But take five minutes of your time and write a card to someone that you know, someone that you don’t normally send a card to.
Please 🙂
Pop on down to the Post Office, put a Stamp on it and send it off. Its only going to take a small amount of your time, yet will brighten up someones life with a smile.
Connecting With The Past ::
There is one Person who is very close to me who I have not spoken to in a very long time. And I sent him a Card. I even sent our Family Photo with the card, a short update on what all of our five boys are doing in life. And I hope he opens up the card and accepts it for what it is – a card sent with love.
It felt good. Good to be able to let him know that our family is thinking of him even though we are not in his day to day life.
I want to be able to pass that good feeling moment onto you guys….go ahead and make someone’s day.
Pay it forward.
Send a Christmas Card for 2013.
Pop it into the Post Box
Then come back here to New Life on the Road and let us know who you sent some Christmas Cheer to you 🙂
That is how everyone can celebrate Christmas with the world…connecting. Reconnecting. Discovering. Friendship. Loved ones, Celebration.
Looking Forward To Hearing Your Christmas Card 2013 Success Story.
Merry Christmas From the Woody Family.
Cheers
Lisa

Lisa this is beautiful and you already know I love receiving and sending Christmas cards in the mail. In Australia each year I leave a gift under the wishing tree in Aaron’s name and I love the thought of some little boy opening it. I haven’t seen that here so maybe your idea is a good one for me.
Just today I received a parcel from a reader in Sicily who asked for our address, I believe it’s little presents for the kids. Such a lovely thing to do especially with this being our first Christmas from home.
I bought three special cards today and will send them on Monday to loved ones. I think this year I will make phone calls around Christmas time as postage here for so many cards will be beyond us right now.
sending love to you all xxxx
I’ll send you a photo when our card arrives so you can share the joy you sent to us x

Would love to send one to you and Phoenix For Christmas – that way we are paying it forward by sending another one to overseas!!!
Hey Lisa, that’s a really good idea especially for those people we met online. I made some friends through blogging and I think the best way to say thank you to them is by sending out Christmas cards this holiday. Thank you for sharing that idea! I will order some cards on etsy 🙂
