Last weekend was David’s Birthday. He didn’t want to celebrate it with any fuss so I wasn’t allowed to mention to family or announce it online. So I respected his wishes and I didn’t even speak with our oldest boys to let them know – he didn’t want gifts. He wanted a day of fun, a day spent with family and Breakfast/Dinner with his favourite foods.
I was joking with him about “Getting Old” – but in actually fact he is not getting old, its only a number and you can feel as young as you like! Its actually a mindset thing – you can feel as older then age or even younger then your age. He says that he still feels like he is 21, but seen the ages of our oldest Woody Sons are around that he can’t be!
He wanted Bacon for Breakfast ::
He found Gluten Free Bread, Nitrogen Free Gluten Free Bacon, and I cooked up Italian Herb Tomatoes, with Mushroom/Onions, Capsicum and Eggs. One very happy Dad!
Can you see the Angel on Cameron’s face? Normally Kyle has an Orb near him in Pictures but this time Cameron had one – and I still reckon its either my late Grandma or one of David’s family looking after our boys! And no its not the Lights near him causing the Orb because we didn’t have any Bus lights on!!
Davids Favorite Roast Dinner ::
I know its a bit sad when you have to make your own Birthday Cake but like I have said…he loves cooking!!! And seen as how he has this perfect recipe down pat for a Gluten Free Sugar Free Cake then we are happy for him to make his own cake. Actually I had asked him all week long what cake could I please make for his Birthday Dinner but he kept on saying he didn’t want a Cake, and then that very afternoon {on our way back from Apple Tree Creek} he decided that he wanted to make this!
Another recipe I must get from him to share here on New Life on the Road!
So he had another Birthday, and he enjoyed his day out {will share where we went to soon!!} and he loved his Birthday Breakfast And Dinner with his family. He has lots of dreams/goals/ideas this year and I so can’t wait to see him put them into place! Finally he knows what he wants from life, and he is researching how to follow those dreams.
It was a great day – with Bacon and Eggs, a fun day out, Roast Dinner and Baked Veggies, and a Chocolate Cherry Cake With Cream.
Happy Birthday David, hope you get to have many more fun filled days with your family. We love you so very much – and can’t believe how you kept your promise to your boys!
Whats Your Favorite Birthday Breakfast/Dinner?
Cheers
