This afternoon we had the best time ever! We meet up with our really good friends, and we headed out exploring. I was able to show them Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary, Dunethin Rock and then they were able to share Forest Glen Botanical Gardens. We had so much fun, the family has three sweet boys and their sweet Mama – gotta say I wished she was my sister…she is raising her three boys so well.

After the Maroochy Wetlands we went up to Dunethin Rock – wow what a wonderful lookout!

Kyle and his Best Mate are so alike. Cameron and the sweet boy next to him on his right – they so could have been brothers! Like twin brothers – they are so alike!
From Dunethin Rock we went to Forest Glen Botanical Gardens…..as I drove in I so remember we had been there about 6 years ago {or maybe even more?} Mind you we hadn’t explored the Sculpture Garden until today.

My Sculpture is about the links between the body and the spirit between physical and spiritual ecstasy, and between the present and the distant past.
I wished we had more days like today – it was great to be exploring out and about. And to be with another family who understand how it is to raise boys. Wished we could spend every day like this. We are so grateful that we have friends who we can’t see all of the time {life is too busy} but when we do get together we can pick up like we speak all of the time.
Its good to find your tribe 🙂

Have You Been To Forest Glen Botanical Gardens?

It’s great to see boys enjoying themselves outdoors — even better with friends. I’m sure you had a lot of fun yourselves as well.
This is quite different from the very formal botanic gardens we visited in Singapore but all the better for boys to romp and play!

I love botanical gardens and this one seems to be very beautiful. Many of the plants in Australia have been been brought over to California and adapted very well here. I’ve recognized some of them in your pictures. Great place for the kids.
