Not really…but its something that we have been talking about in the last few days. You see we are finally having fun with cooking in a big group of people! And we are having fun talking around late at night about different ways of travelling.
Glamping Not Camping
Is something that keeps coming into the conversation. Are we really living our lifestyle in a simple way, or are we living the glamours lifestyle? Well I reckon we are doing a bit of both. Not really living like the rich and famous (no bodyguards are needed here!) but we are not living the down n out lifestyle either.
Wonder where “Glamping Not Camping Is Our Way of Life” statement came from?
Glamping Is Our Way of Life
Camping is not what we are into. So the joke started the other night about how we are Glamping. We are so lucky that we have two more buses join us in the Caravan Park that we are staying in. And we are so lucky that they have Choofers as well as kids around our boys age!

Friday nights Dinner…Chicken Fettuccine
Joining Forces For Dinner
The last two nights we have had dinner together. Friday night was one of the Mum’s Birthday Party, and tonight we just decided to do Pizza’s for dinner all together!

Sharing Good Times and Food!
It was so much fun having a big cook-up and watching the kids have lots of fun together. It has meant two late nights, and very grumpy children (my boys need their sleep!) but tomorrow we promise them an early night. The best part is the sharing of yummy food, watching the flames cook the meals, and talking around the Choofers while all the kids are asleep in bed!

Friday Night Was a very late night!
Funny How Old I Feel
Its funny how old I feel! I used to be able to have late nights, and then go to work the next day (that was pre-kids days!). Yet last night we didn’t get to bed until after midnight, and I was not happy this morning to be woken up at 7.00am! Tonight is not as late – well its almost 11.00pm as I wrote this. But gee I sure feel old 🙂

On The Subject Of Glamping
Have you tried Glamping? Its a form of Camping but it has added comforts/style/personal taste. It started a few years back to get more and more people interested in the great outdoors. But has it gone too far?
I have heard people that have tried Glamping – where they nearly take anything and everything with them when they are going camping…from TV/DVD/Air-conditioners/Fridges/Freezers/Beds (not camping beds but their own beds!!)/Lounge room furniture…and so much more! Sure sounds like a lot of work!
That is why living in a Motorhome makes sense – we can pick up and move our house to where ever we want to! Maybe we are “Glamping Motorhomers”? Is there such a thing?
Would Love To Know If You Are The Glamping Or Camping Type?
Cheers
Lisa
Love reading your latest fun and adventures. We are a little of both but the bush camps AKA free ones were our favourite.

Hi Trish,
thanking you for dropping in! The bush camps sound good 🙂

Sometimes we caravan. Sometimes we camp. On our secret waterski week-end there was power available and we camped. We took a fan and had it in our tent (possibly classified as glamping!). Those without fans spent a sleepless night!

Hi Jan,
I dont do camping – but Hubby likes to. I reckon that I would so love glamping…with a fan it would be ideal. The only thing that I dont need is a TV 🙂
Funny how different hubby and I are about what we like to do – he loves fishing/boating/camping! I am more into hotels/5 Star accommodation when possible!
Cheers

What a feast you guys had!!!
Zachery obviously didn’t read my ‘less is more’ rule on my pizza post – but what the hell, it looks fantastic 🙂

I guess if you are in a caravan or motorhome then you are definitely not truly camping. So then that makes me a glamper. I love this lifestyle and am nearing the end of 6 months glamping around Queensland. Soon we move into NSW and slowly make our way home for Christmas.
Love reading your blog. I invite you to read about our trip.
