We are all trying to get Gluten Free/Sugar Free as much as possible…its not always easy to do when out and about travelling/exploring. Especially if out for lunch/dinner and in a new area – its harder to know where to buy “Safe” food from!
David created this yummy Gluten Free Pancakes Recipe, and cooks it from memory. The other night Kyle begged David to write the recipe down so that he could make them for Breakfast – he wanted to make them for all of us, and he did a great job. We even took some to David for lunch.
A great friend asked for the Recipe {Thanks Korina} and I thought sharing them here on our blog means others can also benefit from the yummy pancakes.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups of gluten free flour
- 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate soda
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 3 eggs
- 2 -3 cups of milk
- Butter for pan
Yummy with Strawberries and Cream!
Method
Mix all dry ingredients
Add eggs, honey and milk
Beat to a smooth batter
Heat a frying pan
Add a small piece of butter to pan and spread all over pan when melted
Pore ¼ of a cup of batter into pan
Cook until brown on the bottom
Turn and cook on the other side until brown
Serve hot- Serve with your favorite topping. We use Butter/Honey/Banana as a topping. Or Cream/Mangoes as another yummy topping.
Also can serve with Berries/Cream. Or Butter/Honey. Or Maple Syrup {mind you we don’t have Maple Syrup because of its high sugar content!}
Now that we are eating Gluten Free Pancakes, we keep looking for more recipes that are also gluten free!
We love cooking healthy meals – have you seen our Chicken Ginger Soup for the Soul. Or our Grass Fed Beef Lasagna? Or the best of the best – David’s Chicken Fettuccine that should be made into meals and sold at Cafes!
Do You Like Gluten Free Meals?

Oh Mike, anytime you want to Jump on a plane you are more then welcome to join our family for Breakfast 😉
It is good that Kyle is interested in cooking and how nice for you to have a meal cooked for you – although David does a lot of the cooking doesn’t he. So David was lucky too! I was surprised by how white the pancake was. Thanks for all the topping suggestions. Mango and Cream sounds divine.
