Being Australian we are not really into Halloween. But our kids LOVE the idea of dressing up and going to a PARTY. So when our boys two friends (who live in a house near our Motorhome) asked them for a Sleep Over and a Party, what was I to do?
My heart kept on saying NO but my head said they will be ok, and they are together so they will have lots of fun. They also were told that anytime they wanted to come home all they had to do was ask their friends parents and I would pick them up in a flash.
Fancy Dress For Halloween
Being a Fancy Dress Party that they were going to meant a quick trip to Crazy Clarks (a discount store). Buying three crazy spooky Halloween costumes and accessories meant they were over the moon excited. Actually they were so hyped up before they went, and that was before eating all the junk food that was on offer.
What They Are Like With Junk Food
All of our boys are so very sensitive to food colours/preservatives so we like to keep away from foods that affect them. And they are now learning to accept what foods they can/can’t eat. They actually turned downed softdrinks, and Nicholas took most of their lollies away from them so that they ate junk food but not the over coloured lollies!
What happens when they have too many colours? They are like that Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland!
Cameron had only one melt down while at the party, and his friends Mum was so very good with him…..
He broke his sword that went with his Halloween costumes and she was able to coach him out of his mood. Kyle was good, but then again being the youngest he goes with whatever is happening!
Happy Halloween From Down Under
So wherever you are, what ever you beliefs “Happy Halloween From Down Under” ::
Kyle and Cameron Dressed Up
The Red Eyes (thanks Camera for capturing that!) Adds To the Theme!
And they are one happy scary bunch of kids 🙂
Do You Like Halloween?
Do You Have Treats Ready for Tonight?

New Life on the Road
I don’t have any treats ready so I could be in trouble! Our two grown up children have already partied (sensibly on the week-end) as they both work. Zombie headaches would not be good at work!
Yeah we didnt get treats ready either! Sounds like a great plan….to party on the weekend. Gives a chance to get over the fun n games 🙂
Bought about 6 or 7 big packets of chocolate and treats from the corner store on the way home from work today and have just finished making up 20 lolli bags.
They’re in a basket by the front door, ready to go 🙂 Hopefully 20 bags is enough, otherwise we’re in trouble and will have to pretend we’re not home.

That sounds like a great plan! We didnt even think to get any lollies ready….lucky for us no one has knocked on our Door 🙂
Love the idea of Lolly Bags made up ready to go. But then again I would be so tempted to eat them!
Ok if anybody tells you that Australia has a population growth problem they are mistaken. As I said above I had 20 lolli bags pre-made and I was about 100 short (no joke). I ended up giving out left overs one at a time (felt a bit bad) then when I finally ran out of all those I really had to shut the door, turn off the lights and pretend we weren’t home.
I was only saying what I said above as a joke before. I never knew there were so many cheeky little devils in my surburb 🙂
Note to self, next year prep 150 lolli bags.

Too funny! Guess kids will do anything for lollies 😉
Oh they are too cute!
I was ready for Halloween, with pre-packaged lolly bags for Trick or Treaters. Not one single ring of the door bell. The kids were so disappointed, as I’d let them dress up to answer the door (total cheats way of not having to actually take them out trick or treating).
Last year we had zero lollies ready, and of course we had 20+ kids. This year we were ready, and of course we had nobody….
Yeah they sure looked the part for Halloween! And they loved going to a Halloween Party!
Bummer about no way turning up for trick or treat – guess you could all have the lollies between you all?
