Today I took time out of my normal Internet Marketing Routine to go through my photos and videos and work out what I do have, and what I can delete! I was amazed with how many different photos I found of the boys and how much they have grown in the last 12 months! We are so lucky that our Kids are outdoor kids and they love making their own fun!
Kids Having Fun
Here is a video that I forgot was taken because it was filmed at the beginning of last year, while I was at work! Here is Kids Having Fun with making their own fun….
How Can Kids Have Fun?
A long time ago, we gave our TV away. We found that we did not have time for TV, and the boys started to argue over what show they could watch! So a mate at Daves work asked around about Household items as he was moving out of home, so we gave him the telly! We love not having a TV to take up and waste our time….so here is what our boys live without.
- TV is gone!
- Never had a xbox
- Never owned a Wii
- Never owned a DS
- Our older two boys used to have a laptop – gave them back to their high schools!
- Never owned a Playstation!
Yes That’s Right! Our Kids having fun with making their own fun! We have looked at buying a Wii so that we can have Wii fitness and Wii Sports but we don’t want our kids to waste their time, and we certainly don’t have the time! We have even looked at buying a xbox but then that means we need to buy a TV! We just couldn’t bring ourselves to make the purchase 🙂
What Do Your Kids Do?
We would love to know what your kids do for fun? Is it possible for our kids to live a life like we used to? Running around FREE and enjoying the fresh air?
Is it possible that “Kids Having Fun” does not mean sitting in front of a TV/xbox/Wii/DS/Playstation?

Yes, kids can have loads of fun WITHOUT all the technological contraptions! My boys are 6 and 3 and rarely watch TV, have never seen a DS or xbox or Wii and do not know how to turn on my computer. They also keep themselves very busy, often exploring and building and chasing and jumping outdoors or making up their own games and stories and cubbies indoors. They are also Steiner schooled which reinforces our long-held beliefs that kids are meant to play and be in nature, not sit in front of a box for hours. It is possible, even in this modern age!
Hello Angela,
Good to read that we are not the only family with kids that like to have fun! I love the steiner school set up – that is the way all schools should be set up! Be great to see how creative your kids turn out.
