I am still sharing our January trips even though we are now in March! Yeah I am so far behind in Blogging our adventures but I figure that I will one day catch up….or maybe we will have too many adventures to ever catch up?
After Our Gympie over night rest stop we stopped in with Davids amazing ex-bosses on the Sunshine Coast, who now are his boss! Confusing hey, yeah that’s my life lately. Well he used to work with them a few years ago, and then when we stopped in and spent the Saturday night with them they were sharing the way their company was moving forward with building new caravans.
And I guess the excitement got to David cause they offered him the best job offer ever and he is now working with them – well I must admit I was also super excited cause building a new van is something that Dave would love to be part of the team.
Back to Mt Ngungun Glasshouse Mountains…
So after our one night stop over in our Campervan in their front yard – Cameron and Kyle stayed in their wonderful pop up tent…..so easy to put that one up in the night time – we headed to meet up with Kyle’s best friend from Prep. To climb up Mt Ngungun.
You see we used to live near the Mountain – we rented in Glasshouse Mountains for a year before we moved into our Motorhome lifestyle.
That mountain was something that I climbed regularly with our boys – even our oldest two have climbed that mountain with us. It bought back so many wonderful memories.
The track has changed, its much easier then it used to be.
With steps and railings, instead of trying to walk over rocks/trees and instead of one steep straight up section its now a zig-zag back and forth path way up.
Last time Kyle climbed up Mt Ngungun Glasshouse Mountains he was in Prep at Glasshouse Mountains School – gosh he sure has grown since then. Funny how we climbed that mountain so many times yet I so struggled this time! Talk about being un-fit.
Sorry Cameron is so blurry – but some how the photo is still perfect!
The view is as far as the eyes can see.
Yes I am the one in the Pink T-Shirt! So you can see that we love to get out and about, and we meet another couple who were travelling as well, and had a moment in time of sharing their life/journey and how they got there.
The track is way easier then it used to be, yet I still was very hot and sweaty by the time we got up there! Coming back down made my t-shirt stick to me.
We are so lucky to have such amazing friends…..we can without seeing them for years. And then catch up with them at 1770 and Agnes Waters. As well as let us join them on the climb up/down of Mt Ngungun Glasshouse Mountains. That is true friendship – lasting the time and distance. We can’t wait to catch up with them again – Kyle can’t wait to see his “Best Mate”.
This little man was a baby last time we had seen him, he will always be his Mama Baby, but gee to see him walking {jumping} Mt Ngungun was incredible – time flys far too fast! Wished I could freeze time.
This. Picture. Melts. My Mama Heart. Every single time.
Perfect in every way.
Have You Climbed Up Mt Ngungun?
Cheers
Lisa
New Life on the Road.
Lovely photos of Mt Ngungun. Gee how do you pronounce that .:)
You know what this reminded of, Lisa? The countryside where the Man from Snowy River was filmed. One of my all-time favorite movies!! 🙂
