Sorry I am a day late with posting…but I did have a good reason! I got my act together and took charge of my health by visiting a dentist. He was good – he took out my tooth without mucking me around, and now I am slowly healing the infection. Looking forward to a normal face, hot coffee and food once again – not sure when that will be but I do know the pain is going to be worth it.
Munching Monday
Munching Monday is meant to be posted on Monday – sorry I know its Tuesday here in Australia but a least our readers overseas will be reading on their time frame!
On Saturday night Zachery decided to make home made Wood Fired Pizza for our dinner. I so should have done a video because its very rare for our boys to want to do any cooking, let alone cook a whole meal for us!! Funny enough he also cooked last Saturday – Roast Chicken and Baked Veggies. Something must be up for him to cook two weekends in a row.
Wood Fired Pizza
At first he cooked the (first)Pizza in our Bench Top Convection Oven but it wasn’t cooking the bottom so David got out our Choofer, heated it up with as much wood as possible and finished cooking the bottom of the pizza’s. Which gave it a smokey crunchy base – perfect.
The Second Pizza he cooked first on the Choofer to make sure the base was crisp and then transferred it to the Convection Oven to cook the topping.
Pizza Base ::
Purchased from Aldi – they actually make really good pizza bases that do not contain any nasty additives!
Pizza Toppings :
Vegetarian Pizza
Home Made Tomato Sauce – Can of tomatoes cooked with Onions, Salt, Pepper and herbs.
Tin of Pineapple
Eggs
Tomatoes
Mushrooms
Cheese
Capsicum
Margherita Pizza
Onion
Cheeses
Homemade Tomato Sauce
Tomatoes
Herbs
Basically you could add anything you have in your fridge to the Wood Fired Pizza’s to make a yummy dinner. Anytime Zachery wants to cook again he is so very welcome to! He is actually a good cook – never thought David and I could have a night off from Dinner!

Cool!! Love the photos and I can practically smell those wood-fired pizzas. It’s just NOT the same cooking them in a gas oven, very boring!

It is way better cooking on the choofer compared to the gas cooktop/oven!!!

It was wonderful – food always taste better when someone else cooks it 🙂
And the Choofer adds its own Flavor.
