I was fast asleep when I rolled over at 4.00am on Monday. It was cold in the Motorhome, very cold. And hubby noticed my neck was freezing.
He also noticed that I have had migraines on and off in the past week so there was something going on with my neck.
Our motorhome rocks with the wind that we have going on down here in Wollongong. It rocks that much that I am always saying “we live in a Boat not in a Motorhome”
As a joke, but really I am serious. And no we do not have any air bags under neath to cause it to rock more, so it really is like rocking on a boat out at sea.
With our bed being up high {David raised it up really high so that we could fit a washing machine in the boot} we feel the extra effects.
When I rolled over I felt like my brain was in a washing machine, literally I felt like I was being thrown about and nothing was in focused. My eyesight actually went, and I was not able to see anything at all.
I remember screaming.
Loud.
Very Loud.
Enough to wake up David which is very unusual because I can never normally wake him up unless he is waiting for his alarm to go off.
I screamed saying “The Bus is moving, actually no the bus is not moving, but I am moving“
He reassured me saying “Go back to sleep, the Motorhome rocks in the wind, remember”
I was like “NO – its not the Motorhome moving, something is really wrong“
But I couldn’t describe what was going on, I turned the Light on next to my bed.
I was holding my head to try to stop the spinning.
Now I am not into drugs, nor do I know the effects drugs can do, but I reckon that it was something to like “tripping on drugs” 🙂
David was freaked out by my description.
He jumped out of bed to get me a big bowl because I was sure that I was going to throw up. Then he woke up Zachery to let him know what was going on. I am not into doctors but this was something that I have never ever experienced before, so I made the decision
to head to the hospital.
It was something freaky me out big time because I still was having the dizzy spell every time I layed down. Â And I was so close to throwing up, actually I wished that I could throw up so that I would feel better.
We headed to the local Hospital.
Where they admitted us straight away.
And where they started all of these tests to see what was going on.
Within no time they realised that I was passing the tests for a Bleed in the Brain, so that was ruled out.
It soon looked like a case of Vertigo. Which I have never ever had before, nor would I want it ever again.
They gave me a needle to stop the nausea. That did not help, so they gave me more stuff through a drip in my arm….
They also wanted to give me other medication but I declined because I did not want to go home to bed, I knew that I had to go home to four boys who needed their Mum.
When The Experience Started
Before I left for the Hospital. I asked David to tell my boys that I loved them, and to let them know that I would always love them.
That was how freaked out I was!!
They tried to keep me there longer than the day, but I made all the right answers to get out of there asap…..yeah I told a few lies – I said that my dizzy spells were gone so that I could get out of there!!!
I have had a few dizzy spells since, but nothing like I had on Monday morning.
I am still moving slowly when out n about because its like my head is going to spin off my shoulders and I do not know when it is going to happen.
A great friend has given me lots of tips and hints via Don Tolman assistance {through a email} which I will be trying out in the next week!! You rock girlfriend, thanking you xxx
Neck Issues ::
I still think it has something to do with my neck. So I am going to look into a Chiropractor visit – I am just waiting to find the time as we are getting ready to say Goodbye to our Second Son who is joining the Navy.
And a few people are asking me could the Vertigo Experience have something to do with my son Navy Entry. No. I don’t think so – actually I know its not the reason…..
I am actually happy for Zachery to be spreading his wings and following his dreams, cause that is all I ever want for my boys – to chase their dreams.
And I am more prepared this time around – thanks to our older son experience, so NO its not an issue saying Goodbye on Monday morning.
Of course I will cry because my second son is heading to Melbourne for his Basic Training….but its going to be a proud cry. And I love him, he knows that I do.
What About You?
Have You Experienced Vertigo Before?

Hi
My husband used to suffer from this but after trying various medications (which were not fixing it) he investigated the cures on the Mayo Clinic about the crystals in the ear causing the problem.
He did the exercises the Clinic suggested and is now cured of it. Take heart you can get better.
To YOUR success
