I am now in love. It’s true, my new-found love (and it’s not what you think) started four days ago. And it continues to grow stronger every day…
My New Love Affair
I am so sorry to have to let you know that you my smaller model no longer suits my needs. My older model no longer keeps me happy nor does it work as well as my newer model!
Since I was exposed to this bigger newer model (it’s not as new as some!) I have noticed the difference in services, quality and style. This new version works faster, gives great quality material and lights up my day.
I am now happier then I have ever been…four days ago I was given something that I thought I would never be game enough to try. I feel so bad that I have to tell my older one the news!
So goodbye to the older version
Hello to the newer way of life.
Because this new way of taking photos rocks (see I told you it’s not what you were thinking!)
I am in love with a the Canon EOS 10D Camera…..I am so wondering what you were thinking that I was talking about 🙂
Review of the Canon EOS 10D Camera
Hi-lights :- Takaing photos that capture the moment in gorgeous colours.
Advantages:- # Hardy outer case, its made of metal (yep so need that in our bus!)
# Handy straps to have the camera around our necks!
# Able to zoom in and out!
# Fast action taking shots
# Able to use it on full auto even though I don’t know how to drive a Camera like this one!
Disadvantages:- I don’t actually own it! I only have it for the three days while we were in Melbourne.
Yes I am in love with this Camera.
So sorry to my other Camera….I feel like I have betrayed it! My Camera is only about 8 months old (it was my Birthday Present last year!) but is already broken. Someone dropped it onto the floor of the Motorhome and no-one is sure who did it…or at least they are not owning up to it.
My Love Affair – Canon EOS 10D
Now its time to look for a camera that is like the Canon EOS 10D – something that has a hardy case, hand strap and is able to be used on Auto as I have no idea on how to use a Camera that has that many features…I am sure that you need a license to drive one of these amazing cameras. Gosh was it fun to use while we were at my older sons March Out Parade.
Ebay here I come….(oh No say’s David!!)
So Easy for all of our family to use!
It must have been lots of fun for all of us as we over 450 photos from the moment we entered the Airport in Brisbane, to the moment we left Melbourne. Thanking a wonderful friend for lending us the Camera. It meant so much to take good quality photos of the most important day of our life!
Can You Share What I Need To Look For When Searching For A Camera?
Cheers
Lisa
I have a love for my camera like no other thing so I know where you are coming from Lisa! I may be able to help with some tips, but it depends what you are looking for… what is your current camera? That’s probably a good starting point…

Hi Suzi,
Thats the thing…my camera is a little Samsung Camera – tiny little thing that doesnt even have any lenses to adjust etc! It was dropped and now I am looking for a good quality camera – something that I can learn how to use it!
What camera do you use for our gorgeous photos?
Cheers
Lisa
Mine’s a Canon 450d – it’s an entry level DSLR that has been discontinued now, but I think the replacement is the 550d. However, you might want to look at a bridging camera first of you’re only wanting to use it in Auto – they are somewhere between a compact and a DSLR and they’re a good way to learn what you’re doing without having to spend too much. I had one for about 2 years before I bought my DSLR and learnt a lot that way. I dug out a couple of reviews for my niece the other day because she’s looking at getting one and here’s what came out top:
Canon Powershot G12
Panosonic Lumix DMC-FZ48
Nikon Coolpix P7000
They’re about a third of the price that you’d pay for a DSLR. However, if you are keen to go straight in for a DSLR there are lots of courses online or a day course with a photography school etc where you can learn the basics.
Hope that helps – give me a yell if you want any more help….

So Lisa, You had a little love affair on the week-end, and now you are after one permanently!
I have a Canon Powershot S95. It is a point and shoot. It is a solid little camera. It’s good points are it takes great photos on Auto. It is excellent in low light. It takes wonderful sunset photos (they are even better than to the naked eye). Bad points I have noticed are, if you take it off Auto the shutter time is increased, so it takes longer to take the photo. It does not have a large zoom (3.8 optically, but it has more digitally). Once you start taking a video it does not alter focus if you zoom. i.e. you have to stay on whatever zoom you started videoing on. The flash pops up automatically and it is in an awkward spot just where you have your left hand when you hold the camera. I do think Canon is an excellent brand (it is more expensive though).
Overall I am happy with the S95 – it takes good quality photos.
I am only upset that I did not get it sooner. I just got it in November. Jan

I understand! I used a Canon Powershot for years. But before we went to Paris I decided to upgrade to a Nikon D3000. It was love at first sight. I now never leave the house without it. No trip is too small for fantastic pictures.
Hi Myra,
I like the sound of the Nikon D3000 Camera – will have to check that one out! The camera I borrowed took some amazing shots…Looking forward to having one just like it 🙂
Cheers

This is exactly why I only borrow things that are worse than the thing I already have. As soon as I get a chance to play with something newer and better, I have to have it. I can’t even walk down the aisle at the electronics stores anymore because I spend too much money.
Well, if Lori is with me I’m OK. I won’t spend any money then.

Hi Steve,
It was so much fun – to have use of such a gorgeous camera! I am so looking forward to getting something that is just as good – I love the quality photos that it took 🙂
I guess if you have Lori with you then going to the electronics store to look will be ok!
Cheers
