This is going to be about both of our older sons….with all of their Navy News Update! So if you don’t want to read it then that’s fine…if you don’t like what I am saying that’s fine…but remember this is our way of living!
Our Son’s Navy News Update ::
All is good with our Oldest Woody Son. He is now out at Sea and we won’t have any phone contact via voice but we are able to connect via Facebook – when the ships Wifi is connected that is. And yep I have sent my third free parcel to him today – we can send anything up to 2kg’s for Free. Mind you it takes six weeks to reach him….and I sent his Sea Sickness tablets to him which he needs!
Sure hope he can cope without them for the time being.
And we sent him lots of yummy treats…biscuits and lollies as well as healthy snacks.
Our Second Son’s Navy News Update ::
Its already six weeks into basic training for him. He is getting top marks for his Exams, and he is passing all of the fitness tests. He sounds incredibly happy over the phone, more than I have ever heard him sound when talking.
He is actually thriving in the Navy Environment and is where he was meant to be….I so can see him re-listening one day as an Officer and having his own Ship to run.
For the moment his new Nickname is “Google” 🙂
Our Motorhome Update ::
We are still waiting on the parts from England to get here! David is replacing all of the Fuel Injectors, having the Fuel Pump rebuilt, replacing the Filter and then we also need the Springs re-done…not sure how we are going to get some much done in such little time but David seems to pull off Miracles when he has such a tight time frame.
Not sure how we are going to do the Springs considering the Motorhome has to be put up on blocks to have the old ones taken out!!
Oh and the Exhaust Pipes need replacing as well….guess you could say once the Rebuilding/Replacing of the Engine everything will be given “new life” on the inside and the outside of this old school bus….
like I have said before “It would have been cheaper to buy another bus”
Heading To Melbourne ::
Still not sure how we are heading to Melbourne but we have about five weeks to work it out…our second son’s March out parade is going to be the best and I can’t wait cause I love Melbourne…..mind you I think that Dave will have issues on his hands getting me to leave to come back to Wollongong….but that’s another blog post for another time.
Look At All These Sweet Feet ~
Kyle’s Feet Seem So Big – Yet He Still Has A Lot Of Growing…
So Want To Make Sure I Walk With Him Through His Growing Years!!
Thanking You ::
Not sure how “new readers” are finding us, but I would like to say Thanking You big time….I have so wanted to Give Up This blog and turn my back on it yet I have received some really great emails over the weekend and you have inspired me to keep this going. Its almost like the universe wont let me walk away from sharing our Journey.
You have made me realise that this Dream of Living this Way is the right way for our family. And I am so grateful for connecting with more like minded Families.
If you have any more questions send them on through our Contact Page, or check out our About Page!
Will Post More When I Can.
For the moment I am giving myself some much needed R and R from the online world – and keeping my time to a minimum on line so that I can explore more of Wollongong with Cameron and Kyle 🙂
Do You Take Time Off?
Cheers
Lisa
New Life on the Road
Great update. glad all going well with your Navy boys
Lisa, I’m glad you and David are getting the motor home up and running! Wow, so nice that he’s that incredibly handy mechanically. I’m sure not! And the best part of this post was the care package and looking after those boys of yours 🙂
