If you know our family well, you will know that we head to the Beach whenever where ever we can!! And we LOVE the water, it has a calming affect on all of us. Plus its a great way to see Australia – imagine that….driving from Beach to Beach all the way around the Great OZ? That would be the most ideal way to travel/live.
While we stayed at Pomona Showgrounds we had an evening at Noosa Beach. One Friday David knocked off from work early and we decided that it was a perfect way to relax/plus a perfect place to eat Hot Chips for dinner.

we love Noosa Beach 🙂
The first time I went to Noosa was as a teenager with my best friend and her family. I would travel up by bus from Melbourne to spend the holidays with them on the Gold Coast….can’t imagine sending my kids off like that now.
Recently we went back with some great friends who know the area well and they showed us through the park and wild areas off the main drag, it’s a great spot to stay and bet you are all having fun. How are you coping with all the rain??

PS love the new look of the site!!
Hi Lisa,
We are actually down south now! I am trying to catch up on blog posts….
we spent two weeks on the Sunshine Coast, and loved our time at Noosa Beach even if it was for the afternoon. Would love to explore it with friends who knew all the great off beaten places to visit.
Hope you are safe with the rain.
Cheers
Lisa
Our family loves the Sunshine Coast and Noosa has a special spot in our hearts. We first went there when our eldest (now 26) was 7 months old and we had a small caravan (of my Dad’s) and we campled in the caravan park that was on the beach at the end of Hastings Street – can you imagine that (between the end of Hastings St and the river mouth).
Nothing like chips at the beach. Did you have a swim?

It was a perfect way to spend an Afternoon – and we loved watching the sun go down.
We had our fish n chips, and then slowly walked through the streets of Noosa before heading home, and no-one wanted to be brave enough and swim in the coolish water!
Gosh you would have lots of fun staying in the Caravan Park back then – now I cant imagine how they had the room for one!! It sure is a busy travel attraction.
