Today I want to share Our Best Aussie Moments, in photos and joining in on the Fun over at Adventure Tours. Do you know how many photos we have taken over our New Life on the Road lifestyle? OVER 2,000 photos!! And that’s only in the last two years. I have many more on my computer but that crashed before I could save the pictures.
Our Best Aussie Moments ::
Cameron Playing ~
At Theresa Creek Dam. Clermont.
We spent a short break, one weekend camping at Theresa Creek Dam. So wished we had more time to return there because it was the best weekend ever. Theresa Creek Dam has a playground for little ones, a Cafe/Shop, Shower Block and a Dam to swim in {for warmer months}. The beauty is that it cost $10.00 per night for Two adults – they don’t charge children!!
There is no power, and no internet/phone reception which I LOVED!!
This was at Noosa Beach QLD. I played around with my lenses, and zoomed in close as possible. Cameron didn’t even know I was taking photos of him so it was a perfect natural image! This was taken on a late Friday Afternoon – where we let our boys play for some time before we headed over to tables/chairs for Fish n Chips for Dinner.
It was one of those moments where it wasn’t summer so we didn’t get burnt, but because it was the warmer climate of Australia we didn’t cold when the sun went down.
We love beaches, and we love Playgrounds…I think that we could say we travel around Australia visiting both!
This Was Our First Night In Wollongong ~
and one of my favorite Moments in Time.
It was raining yet Kyle wanted to explore the Beach so we got out the Umbrella and let him play in the ocean. The combination of the beach and the rain….he had a ball playing. Here I capture him with him turning around – he was watching how the wind caught the Umbrella. We also got to watch the Sun Setting.
Such a natural pose for him….moving to his own drum beat!!!
This was our first time showing our Boys Darling Harbour. We so wanted to spend more time there but we had to leave to meet up with our older son..this one is from a couple of months ago.
We drove our car into Sydney, parked and walked as much as we could around the Darling Harbour. We passed this Endeavor Ship where our son Zachery gathered the information about their Sailing Program. The day was great for creating new dreams for our boys – they all want to try sailing!!!
We have been to Mt Pleasant Lookout about three times so far. Every single time it takes my breath away – it over looks Seven Mile Beach in the distance. Its also on the way to Berry – famous for its donuts.
Every time we are driving down from Wollongong to Berry, Nowra or even on the way to Ulladulla we stop here to take a moment to look out and reflect.
We loved a day in Sydney…..we caught a train in on a Sunday for $2.50 per person. Which meant we could travel on Train, Buses, and Ferries all day for the one price. We caught two ferries that day – one from Circular Quay to Manly and back. Then From Circular Quay to Darling Habour – where we got off and walked to Town Square.
Its a great way to explore Sydney because there is so much to see from all levels of the Ferries – we sat inside, outside, down stairs and up stairs!!
This is one of the beach’s in Wollongong – where our boys were chasing each other. Then they moved onto looking at all of the Sand Crabs. A great way for them to run of their energetic little bodies. As well as a great way to learn more about life through exploring.
One day I decided to drive for as long as possible, and to explore an area where I used to frequently go on holidays to. Even though we left too late in the afternoon to really spend enough time looking at everything in Ulladulla, the lighthouse made up for it.
I love Lighthouses – not sure what it is about them. Its almost like they hold a story to them – if they could only talk imagine the stories they would come out with. They stand tall and proud, looking out for the boats in the sea. Almost like a Grandma figure in an Italian Family!!
We love exploring Australia, and have so much more to see and do. Even if you had two lifetimes you could never ever see all of Australia 🙂
This is in Wollongong area. It is Holiday Cabins reflected in the Clear Water. Picture Perfect moment….not a ripple in the water so it almost looked like Glass. Clear. Crystal Clear. Almost like looking at two images together.
These are a few of Our Best Aussie Moments…there are plenty more in our archives but I thought these were the best of the best!
