I am still catching up with our wonderful Trip To Melbourne! Then I can get back to our January/February travelling Trips in our Campervan.
On the Sunday night we went to Woodland House Party, that was magical. On the Monday we explored the streets of Melbourne after checking out of our Hotel. Slowly making our way to San Telmo Melbourne for the most delicious Lunch in the whole wide world……
The decor as you walk in will catch your attention!
The chicken was slow cooked, it melted in your mouth and the flavours were something else. I asked the waitress how did the chicken get so tender, and she said it was slow cooked before then grilled at the last minute. {at least that’s what I think she said!}
I am not sure of the ingredients in the drink, but I LOVED it. Actually I had one on an empty stomach {I hadn’t felt like eating breakfast that morning} and felt the effects straight away, so I had to eat something asap. I could easily have this every night, glad I am not sure of the ingredients!
This Strong coffee was very much needed….and it soon helped so that I could stand up and walk out of San Telmo instead of having to be carried out – yeah I am a very cheap drink!
I thought having the “Kitchen” so open was a fantastic idea – you can see how they are cooking your meal and preparing the dishes. Skilled Chef and Kitchen Hands, the food was superb.
I thought they were fresh herbs, but they are actually plastic! Still very effective decor.
Very impressive Wine Collection….and I was still affected by the yummy drink so I didn’t even try anything! And David is not a big wine drinker. Maybe next time we are down in Melbourne we will have to return to San Telmo and try a class or two.
San Telmo Melbourne is an Argentinian delight – from the food to the wine, to the decor. And the lovely friendly staff adds to the appeal of the Restaurant, one that will make you feel satisfied from the meals that are made with so much care – the food is tender, the flavours burst on your tongue and you will feel so relaxed with the atmosphere. Beautiful.
Its done a Side Street and you wouldn’t even know its there! Is it the best kept secret of Melbourne?
Both David and I were stunned that we got to have such an amazing meal {without little ones}, in a place that we would never normally search out, with the food that melted in your mouth, with drinks that gave us the good feelings and the coffee that made me sober enough to catch the plane back to Brisbane!
Oh and the Biscuit that David had….
The meals were so filling so we didn’t actually order dessert, the Argentina Biscuit was part of David’s menu choice – and I had a small bite {or two} – oh my gosh I could eat these Biscuits for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Have You Been To An Argentinian Restaurant?
