Today we had to say Goodbye. And I am not good at Saying Goodbye to Family – I cry. Every. Single. Time. I promise myself not to cry and within minutes of the hugs with the boys I start crying. Wished I wasn’t such a baby!
I am not sure why I thought we had more time with them – the days just flew bye far too fast. And I didn’t even get to give any of them massages because I kept thinking we had another day with them.
Last night we celebrated Nicholas 17th Birthday party earlier then his actual day – Still can’t believe he turned 17 already. I put the candles on his Lemon Meringue Pie last night, and almost stopped at 15 candles but then had to think about how old he was turning!
So we celebrated Xmas day, Boxing Day and Birthdays within days of each other. And now its back to living in our motorhome with our younger boys – without the crazy laughter, without the crazy wrestling, without having too cook so much food, without the sitting around our Choofer sharing conversations!
Boys! Gee they can eat, gee they can wrestle, gee they can play rough. Gee they don’t actually hurt each other – how is that possible? Not sure! Must have a good Guardian Angel looking after them.
Our younger boys no longer believe in Santa {broke my heart when they told me} and I wasn’t prepared to let the tradition go so we now do “love sacks” which are little presents that are given with love!
Nicholas got out there in the Paddock with the Tractor to slash the weeds. Now we need the Rain to help the grass grow. Otherwise we will have to start supplementing them with Hay.
Nicholas, Cameron and Kyle was trying to take down Hayden but he was too strong for them all!
Nicholas and Hayden took off Kyle’s wrist watch and handed it to me to keep it safe – then they took him to the pool and all of them jumped in fully clothed!!
Oh look at that face!! Cameron is proud as Punch that he got his biggest brothers Pants off – the Victory Dance was taken from the pool side down to the Motorhome and back! We all wanted to see his biggest brother do the Nudie Dance from the pool to the towels but he wouldn’t do it – I was so going to film it and put it up on Youtube!!!
Don’t you just love the brotherly love between them!! His grandma made his favorite cake – Lemon Meringue Pie. And the candles almost melted into the cake!
Today we had to say goodbye to them all. It was so very hard to think that they were here for a week and now they are gone – the week was not long enough. They needed to stay for two weeks because time flys far too fast when you are having fun!
They hang out together as much as they could. I so wished that Kyle could spend more time with his Biggest Brothers – he sure misses out because of the big age gap between them.
We so missed not having Zac with us – he was the only one who was away on deployment. Not sure if next year we will have all five of them with us again because the older two probably will be on deployment over seas!
Gosh they are sure growing so tall!!
Wished we had Zac with us, wished we had David with us. And at first I didn’t want to have a “Family Picture” because we are not all here but our oldest son wanted the picture taken. So glad he insisted because I am now going to get this printed and framed! Its my favorite photo of our us so far for Xmas.
I wished that for 2016 we were all together for Christmas but I have a funny feeling that both Hayden and Zac will be off on deployment.
We had so much fun, so much great memories were created over the week
And like Kyle said “It was the most fun I have had in a long time” 🙂
Sure hope you all had a wonderful Xmas, Boxing Day and spent the time with loved ones.
I feel so blessed even though I was very sad Saying Goodbye to Family today. I know that my Mama Heart will have to store up the memories we had together until we can be down in Sydney to see Zachery return from deployment. Until then my arms will have to wait.
Wished Our Boys Lived Closer.
Did You Spend The Time With Family?
Cheers
Lisa
