We have been parked up here in Wollongong for some time. Some of our readers/friends/family know where we were staying, mostly some guessed, others asked and I would tell them through private messages.
Now that we have moved to David’s work I want to share where we stayed, we were at Surfrider Caravan Park. And we have to say a massive thanking you to David and Shirley for making it possible to stay there for such a long time.
Now we have no “Fixed Address” which is the best feeling ever….yes we have repairs to do before we head out of here, but after heading North for Xmas we don’t have any fixed plans or any place we “Must be” – so who knows where we will end up. Who knows what our next adventures will be 🙂
Surfrider Caravan Park ::
We used to be parked in a “Permanent” site but we had gone out of the caravan park to get our Springs looked out and had broken down heading back. David had the Motorhome towed to his work, when we got our motorhome fixed {thanking another wonderful family for helping us out} we went back to Surfrider Caravan Park but due to all the rain we had we couldn’t park back where we had been because David tried, sunk the bus and ripped up the ground.
So “David” {the caravan park manager} had us move to this spot! Where we got to sit quietly by ourselves until Campers turned up in Tents and then we had to be very quiet for other travellers.
They had new sinks put in, super nice….and they were working on the Showers. They are also talking about working on the Toilet doors, making them taller because at the moment the doors are so short that there is no privacy!!
The people in the Caravan Park community are all so very friendly – going to miss so many people! And the location is perfect, straight across the road from the Beach. We were very lucky to be there…..close enough to Sydney {but not too close to the crazy traffic}, close enough to Eden/Ulladulla for trips – basically its the ideal location for travellers wanting to explore all of Wollongong.
David and Shirley helped us out so many times in so many ways….they also have a Navy son so they were good to us about having our boys stay down with us when they could.
I am going to miss Surfrider Caravan Park, even though I got in trouble for walking on their grass!!! And for having a mess outside once!!!! But hey I totally understood where they were coming from – they take pride in their gardens looking good and want to have the place looking the best it can.

Thanks Surfrider Caravan Park For Having Us.

That is awesome that they showed you that generosity! Looks like a really nice, clean place to stay too. I’m with you on wanting complete privacy in the toilet stall, Lisa! 🙂 I’m glad the springs are fixed and that you are on the road again. Many hugs to my fav family 🙂

It was incredible how kind the caravan park was to our family, they embraced us completely and helped us out so many times….
Yeah toilet doors need to be high enough not to be looked over, and low enough not to be looked under!!!
We are still in the process of getting the springs sorted out, staying at Hubby’s work {across the road from it}
I love a caravan park with a clean amenities block. That wins me over every time 🙂

Yeah its good to know that the shower block is so clean when using it, as well as the toilets 🙂
If you are ever in the Wollongong area I highly recommend Surfrider Caravan Park!!
I’d get into trouble for too many things in a caravan park. I’d be evicted for sure. I love it when you find a common bond with someone, like navy sons, and all of a sudden everything works out 🙂 That’s human nature isn’t it. Looking out for each other.

Yeah we have two kids who LOVE to collect junk so I had to be very careful with what they left laying around the motorhome.
Yeah it was very good to have Navy Sons in common, they were the nicest people ever.
Oh, what a beautiful tribute of thanks, Lisa. Looks like a great spot! We’re looking for reputable caravan/camping spots at the moment – down south too. This place might work very well for us! All the best in your next spot! x
