Moonan Cottage New South Wales

** from our travels last year – playing catch up! **

We love escaping and exploring places we have never ever heard of, and to experience new ways of traveling. We won a one night stay at Moonan Cottage in New South Wales over on their facebook page, and I knew in my heart that one night was not going to cut it! David’s parents gifted us another night accommodation to say thanks for helping them out and being there when David’s Dad broke his ankle.

Sunset At Myall Lakes National Park

Something special about watching a Sunset At Myall Lakes National Park. If you know me, you know I love Sunsets! Actually I named my Business “Sunset Massages” because its my favorite time of the day. I have seen a few Sunrises in my time, but as I am not a morning person that is very rare – I am a night owl and would rather stay up late and sleep in the morning.

Have You Stayed At Myall Lakes National Park?

Mungo Brush Campground Beach

So we have shared our thoughts about Myall National Park and Mungo Campsites {can’t recommend the smelly toilets but hey the view over looking the lake and the beach access makes up for it!}

Mungo Brush Campground Beach is literally across the road from the campsites. And you won’t believe the paradise you will walk out to when you are finished with waking up, having breakfast and ready to explore. Even the teenagers who don’t like to get out and explore will love the beach!

Mungo Campsites

Sorry I haven’t been on here for so long. Its hard. Really hard to find the time to keep on top of the blog, keeping the motorhome clean, feeding our boys {why do we have to eat? Imagine how much time and money we would save if we didn’t have to eat!}, keeping on top of the washing, trying so very hard to finish my stupid studies online, starting up a business and then there is that thing called sleep.

Yeah time goes far too fast in one day.

Oh and a Puppy to train/care for/love on – gee she sure is easy to love on!

Myall Lakes National Park

After our busy weekend in Sydney {yeah I am still playing catch up with our trip down South which was years ago – Joking – before our next adventure!} – With our older son’s engagement party and Vivid Sydney we had two nights free before our next booked accommodation. So David decided to look at our Camps 7 Book and check out Myalll Lake National Park and see if we could stay there for two nights.

Crampton Island Geocaching

While we stayed at the Free Camping Spot at Lake Tabourie Beach I looked at any geoaches that would be close enough for us to walk to, but were not too hard to find.

Silly me! We decided to try the Crampton Island Geocaching that could only be done when the tide is right – the island is cut off from the beach when the tide is in!

Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre

After we stayed at the free camping spot – which we will return to as soon as we can because it was amazing – “Yarramalong Weir Free Camping” we had a destination in mind – a place we have had on our bucket list for a very long time. And nothing was going to stop us along the way to reach Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre.

I have always wanted to visit a Hot Springs – I love water. Its good for the skin, the soul and the mind. And after trying to pick a Prickly Pear Fruit from the road side the water was so very soothing for the hands…Yeah Number one Tip of Traveling Australia ::

Cataract Dam New South Wales

Yep I am still trying to catch up on our travels down in New South Wales with a trip that we had to Cataract Dam! Oh gosh I so miss Wollongong, we got to see so much while down there. Can’t wait to be able to catch up on our travels from our Campervan travels {a few days before Xmas we left our motorhome in storage and traveled all through NSW – QLD sleeping in our Campervan/Tents and loved every minute of it! Best moments ever, and can’t wait to experience more.

Cataract Dam New South Wales, a day where I spent it with family to say goodbye to them before we left the area. One where our boys got to spend it with their cousin and uncles – it was a great day! And I am so glad I have photos from the day, all of our boys will have the memories to look back on.

Town Of Seventeen Seventy

I was looking back through our Blog Posting from December/January/February and can’t believe that I didn’t  share our visit to the Town of Seventeen Seventy {and Agnes Waters}. Not sure how I forgot to share that great trip because we actually meet up with Kyle’s Best Mate and his family.

The day was really weird – it was raining where we were staying, but as we were driving towards the town it was getting hotter and hotter. I do remember burning {very sun burnt and sand burnt feet} that day, even sitting in the shade with a Beach Towel covering my shoulders. Next time we visit I will remember to wear a Long sleeve cotton shirt!

Camp Quality Convoy

I know that this was AGES ago, and we are no longer in the Wollongong area but I was looking through our great photos from Camp Quality Convoy day and I remembered that I hadn’t shared it here on our New Life on the Road blog.

Considering we have SO much to share about our travels from the Illawarra area to Bundaberg QLD to back down the Sunshine Coast area, and considering we have power for the time being {will share more soon about where we are} I am going to try and finish up our wonderful travels in New South Wales so that I can start sharing our more recent travels.

Camp Quality Convoy 2014 was huge, way bigger in support then 2013, and I reckon that 2015 will be even a bigger year. And the support is really important because the Children in the area benefit from the fundraiser.
