Darlington Parklands In Yarrabilba

After walking back from the Waterfall at Tamborine National Park – we were all hot and very sweaty, and very hungry! We had a watermelon and an idea of where we wanted to head to, I programmed the GPS which directed us all to Darlington Parklands in Yarrabilba – one very cool playground!

SWEET LITTLE PLAYGROUND TO COOL DOWN!

Playing with Water

PLAY WITH WATER IS A KIDS DREAM

It was that hot all of the parents enjoyed the water play as much as the Children did!

MANY PLACES TO PLAY

LOTS OF GREAT SHADE AND PLACES TO HIDE

BASKETBALL COURT

Kyle and our friends Son loved playing Basketball with another Family – Kyle had his Xmas Present {our second son gave him a Basketball} with him. I must say that our Friends Son is a natural talent at Basketball – he killed the game!

Big Playground

THE PARK HAS MANY AREAS TO PLAY

Great family place

MANY PLACES TO SIT AND EAT!

The playground has great facilities – Toilets, Bins, BBQ’s, Picnic Tables, different areas to Play/Cool Down. The playground is one that I would visit again! I have said we could easily travel around Australia from Playground to Playground and I so reckon we could, especially when they have great Toilet facilities!

The only issue I had that day was I was the only Adult with one of my sons, and three children from our Friends Family and I could only have eyes in some many directions, and yes I did lose sight of one of the girls….panic time!! We all searched and found her in the toilets – never ever been so grateful to discover where a Child had disappeared to!

Love the shade, love the water, love that all age groups are catered for. It was a great day out.

Have You Got  A Great Local Playground?

Share it below, we love to visit it!

Tamborine National Park

Way back….I was searching for a water fall in Tamborine National Park but ended up in Cedar Creek Section instead! There was a waterfall there {luckily} but it wasn’t the one I was aiming for, guess that’s the fun part of seeing Australia – exploring areas and trying to find new places to see.

Eels in the Water at Cedar Creek

YOU WILL SEE MASSIVE EELS

Yes there are huge Eels in the water, yet the don’t seem to mind the swimmers, and you can see them swimming in and out of their homes – they live in the edge of the rocks in the water. There was a guy in the water who was trying to catch one to show our Kids up close and personal, but the eels out smarted him every time!

GREAT PLACE FOR A GREAT LOOKOUT

What I remember about Tamborine National Park – it was hot! And the footpath down was easy going until you got to the section of the waterfall – that was a bit more tricky! And all of the four Children that I had that day decided to take a track that was not the easiest to get back up so I ended up having a great work out. After climbing back up and walking to the car we were all very hot and sweaty, so again we found a Water Playground to cool off at. There sure is a great variety of them around in Queensland, and for that matter also in New South Wales.

I also remember that the car park was very busy that day, I had to wait for a car to pull out so that I could park, and many cars were pulling up on the side of the Roads leading down to the car park to find a spot – not sure when is the right time of the day to avoid the car park issues! Oh and make sure you lock your cars, apparently they have break ins in the area.

Maybe one day we will get back up that way, and maybe one day I will find the waterfall I was searching for, mind you I can’t remember what it was called!! Will have to see if I can re-find it on google and add the place to our “Bucket List”

The Jump He Didnt Do

Kyle {our youngest for those that are new here} Is our little Monkey, our adventures one who has no issues about climbing very high trees. But luckily he does have an issue about Jumping down from very high up places. The Jump He Didn’t Do and I was so very glad {to say the least}.

We didn’t ask him not to jump, and I most certainly didn’t encourage him to jump. We let him make up his own mind, and he soon realised that jumping from so high up into a small amount of sand might not end to well….

Buderim WaterFalls On Mothers Day

Yesterday was Mothers Day here in Australia.  And it felt weird not having all of my boys with us but we still wanted to create a great day with our younger ones so I only had one request – to spend the day at Buderim Waterfalls on Mothers Day, having fun and sharing a quality day together creating memories. And my dream day came true – it was so much fun and I loved every  moment of our laid back care-free loved filled day.

Another Bucket List is crossed off – Buderim Waterfalls. Great easy walk in and a great easy walk out – probably the easiest Waterfall walk we have come across so far!

In the morning I was so very spoilt with my favorite breakfast ::

Yep I am still trying to catch up on our travels down in New South Wales with a trip that we had to Cataract Dam! Oh gosh I so miss Wollongong, we got to see so much while down there. Can’t wait to be able to catch up on our travels from our Campervan travels {a few days before Xmas we left our motorhome in storage and traveled all through NSW – QLD sleeping in our Campervan/Tents and loved every minute of it! Best moments ever, and can’t wait to experience more.

Cataract Dam New South Wales, a day where I spent it with family to say goodbye to them before we left the area. One where our boys got to spend it with their cousin and uncles – it was a great day! And I am so glad I have photos from the day, all of our boys will have the memories to look back on.

Caravan Built On A Dream

Update *** David is no longer working for Jenny and Bruce anymore as we have moved on from the Sunshine Coast. We wish the Dream Team that are now building the Nioka Caravans all the best.

Did you ever think about how things are built? Things are made? They are built on a dream, and idea and taken from the early stages of “Thinking” to “creating” to “succeeding”. They are built cause someone has an idea and they won’t stop till that idea comes to life.

A bit like the light bulb – it was created way back in the early 1800’s by an Italian Inventor, Alessandro Volta -he developed the 1st method of generating Electricity using Voltaic Pile.  And then over the years it was created by other inventors with different type of materials and soon led to one inventor in 1850 developing the idea further.

Yet some of the materials that they were using was not always cost efficient and soon more inventors used the same techniques but had to change them and improve on them!
