Today I woke up to more rain….grrrr where is it coming from? Surely there is nothing left to keep on sending our way! Then I realised it was Friday. That means there is only five more days before I fly to Melbourne.
The Big Count Down Is On
I have to admit that I am super excited as I love Melbourne. There is so much to do there, so many wonderful places to eat at and so much culture to take in and admire.
While I am down there I was hoping to have dinner with my older son But he is not allowed off Base during the week 🙁 How weird is that – allowed to join the navy, allowed to defend our country but can’t have dinner with his Mum during the week!
Oh well maybe he will get to come home for his 18th Birthday in June, or I could fly to him (yeah I like the sound of that!!)
Gosh I so wish I could see our older son!
Where I Will Be Staying In Melbourne
I am super happy as I am going to be staying in St Kilda – right on the beach front. Gee I cant wait to see what my room is like – I so have my fingers crossed that it has a Big Bath Tub…..please!
The reason for the visit is to visit World Vision Head Office as well as attend Digital Parents Conference. I have been trying to get tickets for the DPC for weeks but they were sold out (actually they had been sold out for sometime). Then another Mummy Blogger let me know that she has a great friend who unfortunately couldn’t make the conference, and was happy to sell her ticket. Doing the happy Dance right this minute!
Eating In Melbourne
As I have started a new way of eating with “The Beauty Detox Solution” book I am wondering what I am going to be doing for food while in Melbourne. I have to eat salads or fruit before every meal, and only vegetables or protein for dinner. So its going to be interesting times while eating in Melbourne. I have finished reading a section that covers “Eating Out” and I will be taking the book with me for ideas of what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat.
Dharma’s Kale Salad ~
Kale, Sprouts, Cucumber, Tomatoe and Lemon Dressing.
The reason I started the Beauty Detox Solution was because my skin is going through a major out-break….ie huge acne issues happening here! We were wasting time in Big W the other day and this book kept screaming out to me while I was looking through all the books on the shelf. So I knew that it was meant to be read. So glad I did buy it – as there is some yummy Green Smoothies, Healthy Salads, and fantastic Natural healthy skin care ideas.
What To Do In Melbourne
With this trip I am not going to have much time to do a lot of things in Melbourne. Actually I have Wednesday and Thursday night to explore, and believe me I will be walking my little legs off. I will also get to catch Trams. Have you ever been on a Tram in Melbourne? They sure are lots of fun.
The Sunsets in Melbourne are gorgeous!
Coming Home From Melbourne
After Friday Digital Parents Conference I am going to be in a huge rush to get to the Airport on time. The conference finishes at 5.00pm and I have to be at the airport by 6.00pm. Along the way I need to re-fuel the hired car (more about that soon!) and check-in for my flight.
Maybe I will miss my flight? Maybe the weather will be so nice in Melbourne compared to the Sunshine Coast…so much nicer and I will want to stay there! Maybe I will start Life on the Road down south and Davd (plus the boys) will have to drive down and join me!! Then again maybe not as Dave has a plan, a date set and a location set and no I dont have any of the details as he is not telling letting me know anything.
The Count Down to Melbourne Is On.
What Would You Like To See Here After the Trip?
Cheers
Lisa
New Life on the Road
Have a fantastic time in Melbourne. I really wish you could see your oldest baby boy as well. Maybe they will change their mind if we all start sending our vibes down.

On your return I would love some photos of the yummy food you found. Photos of St. Kilda markets (if you are there on a Sunday), or any other Market you may find!
