When we had our two magical nights at Moonan Cottage, and before we drove up to Barrington tops for a drive, our boys were given Gold Mining equipment {pans etc} to head down to The Creek Behind Moonan Cottage, to use while we were there!
If you know Kyle he is determined to find Gold on our travels, and loves it when we take our Gold Detector with us – mind you we have only found a speck of gold so far!
So both boys were super keen to hit the icy cold water with their supplies that we were allowed to use while staying at the cottage.
The Creek Behind Moonan Cottage :
The water was too cold for me! But both boys and Daddy had a heap of fun looking for gold 🙂
So did they find gold? Maybe next time they will!!! Cameron lost it shortly after these pics {must have been too cold} so David stepped in to help him out – and yeah they had fun but no luck this time.
We are so looking forward to sharing the most scariest part of our trip – watch out for that blog post soon….it was where we all waited for a Monster to jump out in front of us!!!
Have You Stayed At Moonan Cottage?
It was so very cold but so very spectacular country side. We sure do live in the Lucky Country!
We loved our two nights there – Cameron has come up with the idea of having a “Family Fun Yearly Trip” to there with all of our boys, not sure how the older ones would cope without phone reception? But I would love it!
Special Thanks to Moonan Cottage for our magical time there, and for their lend of the Gold Panning Equipment. Special Thanks to David’s parents for gifting us another night stay there. We were super glad we had two nights offline.
