Or is it? Funny how we look around (our life/style) and think that the Grass Is Always Greener on The Other Side! Wonder where that saying came from and who created it?
Greener Grass
Do you compare your life to others? I am really guilty of that – I always think about what others are doing, and thinking about what I should be doing. Instead I should be looking at what we have accomplished so far and say thanks for all that has come into our world because of our blog.
Bigger Boob’s Syndrome
It’s a bit like wishing I had bigger boobs! Not in the sense of real boob’s but in the sense of wishing that our grass was greener. Yesterday I had that song going through my head “Gotta Get Out Of This Place” as we have been stuck on the Sunshine Coast for so long.
Which is really ungrateful of me.
Because we have had so much fun living here, and have been to some amazing places.
But it is our time to move on. Which brings me to the question “Why Are We Still Here” – I get how “The Secret” works and I do ask the right questions. But no-one is listening. So I figure what the hell….lets do it again one more time – louder and online!
Want To Show Our Boys Real Tigers In The Wild ~
Maybe we should add Asia to our bucket list!
The Grass is greener on the other side – cause we haven’t been to the other side of Australia. Yet we want to move on NOW! SO hear this universe – our time on the Sunshine Coast has been so good, please let us move to somewhere, anywhere, today, tomorrow or next week?
Lighting Bolt – Bingo
That is where we realised we have not been specific enough. We have looked at others and thought ‘Oh gee I so wish!” Yet we have not planned. And really that is my fault.
I am not into planning, I am more into putting it out there (no I am not easy – ask hubby!) and waiting for it to happen. Now I am getting more specific. I want to see that the grass is greener – I want to travel to NSW, to VIC, to South Australia, to Perth and to Northern Territory.
See Sunsets All Over Australia ~
We want our boys to see Sunsets and Sunrises!
We want our boys to see crocodiles in the wild, sun sets over the ocean, kangaroos and dingo’s, snakes and spiders (ok maybe not!), dolphins and sharks, birds in the wild, dust, country properties where there is no neighbours for miles, cities, the moon and the starts and so much more.
This is what we have wanted for so long – yet we have been stumbling along without a plan. STUPID – damn stupid. When will I get smarter?
OK I can’t have the boobs I have always wanted (thanks to breastfeeding = sorry guys Too Much Information!)
But I damn well can have the greener grass.
I am sure that the grass is greener in New South Wales – but I want to see it with my own eyes.
I am sure there is greener grass down further – even if its hidden under the snow!
I am sure that there is greener grass even in the Simpson Dessert – it’s just that no-one has discovered it yet 🙂
The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side – at least I think so! Yesterday I cleaned out every cupboard and re-arranged every thing. We have off loaded more clothes that our boys have out grown. We are almost ready on the inside. Now we need to organise seat belts, and David must finish the engine cover.
At the moment we have a few things that must be done before we can travel. Then there will be no more excuses. We will be gone. Will be seeing Australia – how I have no-idea. That is not my department, that is up to the Universe. What I do know is that we will be getting out here as we will be setting a date 🙂
Here is the song that inspired this blog post…
We Gotta Get out of this Place – There is a Better Life for me and you!
Do You Think that the Grass is Always Greener on the other Side?
Cheers

I’m not a “Grass is Greener” kind of guy (and I’m not even going near the “Bigger Boobs” theory) but I sure understand your desire to go find out. Some of the places we’ve been definitely have greener grass than where we are, but some aren’t even close. I guess until I’ve been absolutely everywhere, I won’t know which is which. I sure hope it works out for you and you get moving soon!

Hi Steve,
Oh come on – you could have so much fun with the bigger boob theory!! But I am sure the grass is greener and that is why I am so keen to explore our gorgeous country 🙂
Cheers

I don’t think the grass is always greener elsewhere, but I have an overwhelming desire to find out. So I am with you!

Hi Jan,
Yippee we can go exploring together and looking for greener grass 🙂
When would you like to leave?
Cheers

I believe everything is for a reason and if you are at the Sunshine Coast for longer then you anticipated, it is for a good reason (not sure what it is but it will be there somewhere) You will definitely move on when the time is right for you and the Universe and for your sake I hope it is sooner rather then later. At least you are somewhere nice while you wait it out.

Hi Jackie,
Well if you find out why we are still here, can you let me know why !!! It sure seems like ground hog day and its so wet 🙂
Maybe we should head to the Simpson Dessert?
Cheers
