After we stopped and spent as much time as possible at Picnic Point Toowoomba – at the lookout, the playground and then had lunch in the park, we decided to head to Toowoomba Japanese Gardens to check out the beautiful grounds. There is a cache there but my phone wasn’t able to pick up the location no matter where I stood, we walked on many paths and it kept on jumping – sometimes if there is too many tall trees, or over cast day the GPS on the geoaching app can’t work too well!
Toowoomba Japanese Gardens ::
I love water, and I love peaceful garden settings. Toowoomba Japanese Gardens have both – there is a feeling of “Peace” and “Calm” as you are walking along the grounds. We meet a local guy {he lives across the road} we goes to the gardens every single day.
He actually has a favorite seat that he sits on, but others were visiting that day and they had taken the seat. So he had to walk a bit more around the grounds and sat on another chair. He loved being able to sit there, look at the gardens and have a chat with travelers. We got to hear a lot about his life history in the time we were there – love the beauty of meeting others, connecting with them even if its for a very short period of time!
What a wonderful Peaceful place to sit, read, relax, rest, eat, sleep, and meet other people. Funny how travel brings you to places where you soul is seeking.
We love exploring, and seeing places where a little bit of healing takes place. Its just almost as nice as Cowra Japanes Gardens. After we left Toowoomba Japanese Gardens we headed to our free over night stay – one you wont believe the sunsets we got to see!
Where Is Your Favorite Gardens?

These gardens are stunning. I spent a year in Japan and fell in love with the gardens over there. I always appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of Japanese gardens, even if they aren’t in Japan. It’s amazing they have created this to look so similar to an actual Japanese garden, I don’t think anything like this exists in the UK, just very small versions. Looks like a wonderful day out. Thanks for joining in with #MyFavouriteTrip. Polly 🙂
