Sorry we have been super busy and very quiet! But we had a reason….we are both working around the clock every weekend to try to get our motorhome ready for renovations! The Roof (on the outside) is now finished, and looks really good. It took four coats to cover the whole roof top. Gee she sure has changed from what she used to look like!
Do you want to see What We Got Up to On The Weekend? ::
This is the Front of our Motorhome ~
Starting to sand it back!
David Shows Me How Much Paint To Take Off ~
I so thought it was going to be an easy job….silly me!
I thought That This Was Going To Be A Few Hours Work ~
The Job took Three Hours…and that was one little panel!
Under the Paint we Discovered Letters! N, P, U….
have no idea what they could be for?
Still the Driver side Panel to finish off ~
as well as taking the bumper bar off and sanding under that!
David Built This Mostly at Work ~
And is almost finished!
The Middle Panels Are Now On ~
So glad that those Middle Panels are now on!
Waiting to put the bottom panels on…when the tanks are built. They can be built when we can get the Sheeting for it, which I am in the process of trying to find a supplier in Mackay who will sell the sheets (I think that I have found one!)
Today was LOTS of phone calls – we need a new Front Window for our Motorhome, our new bus seats need to be approved, and the seat belts. Which is a big challenge ~ it looks like there is a guy that can approve the seat belts, but no one that can approve the seats…sounds crazy but that is what happens in Mackay!
I did speak to a guy by the name of David Blythe from “DB Autotech” who was very helpful, more helpful than the QLD Motor Registry. He let me know that there wasnt anyone in Mackay that could approve the Seats but did email through a list of approved engineers. The list didn’t have anyone close enough to Mackay ~ closest one was in Harvey Bay. Will see what I can find out tomorrow with more researching 🙂
We also need new window screen wipers, new back bumper bar and so many other things….the big countdown is on cause David’s job is coming to an end and we I want out of here 🙂
While we were super busy our kids were being kept entertained. The younger three (guess they are not so young anymore?) got to go to a Halloween party, two of them had sleep overs, and they came back n forwards to the house near us (where they have made some really good friends!). And basically we didn’t get to see them all weekend ~ they were off playing and having fun.
How Was Your Weekend?
So Wish We Could Say Our Motorhome Renovations Was Finished!
Cheers
Lisa

Thanks Dororthy! I reckon that it takes twice as long to renovate a Motorhome as it does a house…only cause everything is very compact and needs a lot of TLC. Will be very happy when its finished and we are outta here 🙂
It is amazing what can get done when the pressure is on. Looks like you are blitzing it. It will be amazing when it is all done.
