Lately I have come across a few things (online) where I am starting to wonder….When Did It Become OK to Judge Others and yet none of us are perfect? Gee I am so far from perfect that I am anti-perfect! (is there such a thing)
Why Do People Judge When Others Are Doing Good?
It got my back up, and it got me asking questions…Why Do People Judge someone/anyone who is walking and dreaming in their own life, in their own way. We are all different, and we all cope with things in a different way. There is no right or wrong – its about being who you are.
I have been following Eden‘s journey of when she went to Africa for 10 days. She has seen things that will forever change who she is as a person and will change how she will be forever more!
What is amazing is that she put her Family on hold for 10 days to tour a country that is so far in need, and that is so rich in love yet needs the most basic things to survive!
Yet she is being questioned about her blogging, and about her lifestyle. WHAT??? Come on people – see the bigger picture.
See this….
See These Girls Eyes ~
Eden Was There, She Saw This, And She Shared her journey
What About This…..
This is Africa ~
Can You Imagine Seeing This….
This is where the people live over there.
Then there is this….
Can You IMAGINE what these Children See everyday?
The child in the fronts look in her eyes scares me…
what about the child on the left looking back???
NOW Do you get it??
When Did It Become OK to Judge Others? That is so not the Australian Way…what about letting each other express their own feelings in a way that makes them happy? And in a way so we can get what is really happening in Africa.
Eden is NO longer letting peole ignore the fact that people are hungry. Eden (with her gorgeous style) is sharing what she was there to see. Let us remember the “Why” of her trip.
The “Why” is the reason she went to Africa. A trip that I gladly put my hand up for! Yet it was Eden’s Time. This trip was meant for her and her blog. I so was not ready for such a big trip…actually thinking about what went down over there I am sure that I wouldnt be able to come home and cope with any of it. I. Am.Not.That.Strong.
I am proud to be able to say that I met Eden (only briefly) in Melbourne and yet within minutes I could see that she was perfect for the trip to Africa! Why – because she wont sugar coat the situation, and she is strong enough to return home to real life situations. She went there, She saw their situation, She shared it her way, and yet she can still be a Mum/a person and a blogger.
What I hope that happens from writing this (sorry but I am really feeling for Eden at the moment) is that people never forget this….
Do Not Judge Others Unless You Have Walked In Their Shoes. Remember The Bigger Picture…Remember The WHY of her trip.

I am so proud to be a part of your journey xx
Unfortunately it seems it is the Australian way to judge others, especially those who are standing up and making a difference. I think the people who are judging are totally dissatisfied with their own lives and have to stick their noses into other peoples lives for fulfillment.

I think that what you have said Jackie is so spot on – its about what they feel is lacking in their life 🙂
Thanking you for taking the time to leave your comment, and to read Eden’s Journey xxx
Great post…
It always amazed me that people waste so much time criticizing and judging others. It doesn’t achieve anything.
But Eden achieved something… she did something scary and made a difference. How anyone can judge her unfavorably for that I will not know.

Hi Kate,
You are so right – judging others is a big waste of time – Eden was so very brave, and she did do what most of the people out there are too scared to do! She is and will be making a difference, and that is what the trip was all about 🙂
Cheers

Hi Lisa,
Judgement is based on ego in Eckhart Tolle’s definition. The ego feels threatened and so looks to judge, condemn and criticize or even justify. When we let go of ego we let go of judgement and we see the ‘being’ behind the emotion in everyone. Hopefully, one day, there will be less judgement and therefore a greater consciousness and presence not based on the past or the future.
We all have our own journey to take and we are all capable of the worst we see in others. I always try to remember that.
Namaste! Eileen. 🙂
Hi Eileen,
Very interesting way of looking at it…I like the theory that Judgements is someones ego 🙂
It would be so nice to have less judgement and more acceptance! Thanking you for stopping and leaving your comments, as well as your support xx
Cheers
