While we were in Sydney and wanted to explore many places we had never been to before, we touched base with Kyle’s closest friend. He is the same age as Kyle and they had so much fun with homeschooling events in Bundaberg together so I decided to surprise him!
I got in touch with his closest friends Mum and we made a surprise play date to Wild Play Garden Centennial Park Sydney – actually I think its called “The Ian Potters Children’s Wild Play Garden”?
We were late getting there as I drove past it twice trying to find it –
I was looking for a huge sign considering its a new playground and I was also expecting it to be much larger than what it is considering how much land its situated on!
The Centennial Park in Sydney is one of my all time favorite spots to visit as it brings back so many childhood memories of when I was younger and my late Grandma would take us there for family picnics 😉
And Kyle was surprised, and he loved every minute of being with his close friend, and his friends younger brother – I love giving my kids great surprises 🙂
This great climbing frame and slide is great for the bigger kids – I noticed how big a gap there is between each deck, and sure enough a kid fell and hurt herself. But for the bigger kids its perfect as they are able to climb all over it, get up to the slide, go down and start all over again. Sure is a great way to see how tired they can get!
Next time I will remember to get Kyle to wear Shorts and a swimmer top instead of Jeans and a T-Shirt!!! Kyle’s friends are protected for privacy reasons with love 😉
To get to The Ian Potters Children’s Wild Play Garden you need to listen to your GPS as it will direct you to the closest car park, that is if you program it correctly!!! Instead of driving past it twice trying to look for it 🙂 I was looking for a big sign that pointed to the garden, I was looking for a larger Wild Play Garden at Centennial Park in Sydney!
Remember to take Hats, Swimmers, Towels and a Picnic as you will want to stay there for a bit to make the most of the Wild Play Garden area for your kids to enjoy. And its so very peaceful – you wouldn’t believe its in the middle of a crazy busy Sydney!
Address –Â Entry to the Garden is from Grand Drive, in Centennial Park. Best to use your phone GPS to get you there as its the most accurate, its near the corner of Grand Drive/Robinson Drive!
Entry Fee – Free
Opening Times –Â The Garden is open from 10.00 am – 5.00 pm daily
Take – Hats, Drink Bottles, Towels, Swimmers, Picnic Rug and Food 😉
Its a great day out and the best part its in my favorite Gardens, in the most busiest city of Australia, and its free!
