I am Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free and have been for ages – along with Preservatives/Additives Free – oh and chemical free Motorhome. We are changing our favorite recipes over to keto! Like the Keto Eggplant Lasagne.
But nothing was helping to lose the weight at all. If you have followed our Instagram NewLifeonRoad updates you will see that I have started to do Stories a little bit more than I used to. And I shared a recent success video of how much weight I have lost – a small Keto Success Story.
Keto Success Story
I am halfway to my goal. I didn’t start out on the Keto Lifestyle to lose the weight – I started because I needed to fix my health – I needed a way to repair my body and fast. My hair had started to really thin out – to the point that I was losing a lot of hair, and I haven’t had to have it thinned out in a very long time.
Normally my thick hair is so bad that it gives me a headache from how heavy it will get and I have to get it thinned from the hairdresser. Its been over six months since I have had to do that.
Even people started to notice about my hair which shocked me. So I did a bit of research and I am doing Keto my way.
Doing Keto My Way
I don’t count Calories at all – I don’t stress over the quantity of my meals as such – I just did it simple with taking away all carbs – and fasting.
I fast every single day from 8.00pm at night time till 12.00noon the next day – along with a 1.5 day of fasting every week.
The weight hasn’t fallen off as fast as what other success stories have shared – but it has fallen off every single week at a steady pace. I am now 10 kilos down and have 10 kilos left to go to reach my goal.
I listen to my body really closely – it will tell me exactly what I need and when I need it. I will eat LOTS of greens – like heaps every single day for lunch with small amount of protein.
I have taken away milk from my diet completely – replaced it either with cream or coconut milk or coconut cream.

I do make sure I am eating one avocado every single day – I rarely eat nuts so I get the good fats in anyway possible.
This is one of my lunches that I make {after fasting from the previous night to lunch time}. It has Bacon/Egg/Vegetables/Melted Cooked Cheese/Fruit. This is Kyle’s Lunch – I have the same but smaller {in a Bowl}
If I Can Do It Then So Can You
I am no different from you – I love my chocolate, I love my coffee, I love my good food – I just watch how I eat it and when and change it with foods that I am able to eat.
I won’t stop with my keto lifestyle – I have seen the benefits and I will keep going until I do reach my goals. Its all about feeling better on the inside to feel and look good on the outside.

I love your strategy. I wish I had the courage to try Keto but I have a feeling the excessive protein wouldn’t work well with my digestive system. Do you have problems eating too much protein?

Hi Kyle,
actually I can’t eat too much red meat either but going Keto hasn’t seemed to upset my digestive system at all. I do eat fruit and coconut yoghurt which is not really keto but I have to eat fruit to help my liver. Since I have gone keto, there are some days where I do slip up and get too comfortable and not stay on track – they are the days where I feel so ill and have no energy so it proves to me that Keto is working 🙂
