On our way up Theresa Creek Dam in Clermont we stayed over night at Calliope Free Camping Area. Staying overnight on the river heading north. We are yet to stay on the South side of the Calliope river – we will have to try one day on one of our future trips.
Kyle is our little adventure boy who loves anything and everything to do Gems/Stones/Gold/Fossicking and he looked at a magazine before our trip. And found a caravan park in that magazine that he wanted to stay at. Mind you he never mentioned that magazine to us, nor did he tell us about the Caravan park yet with his law of attraction we ended up staying there.
Along the way to the Caravan Park we stopped at The Sapphire Gemfields town and had a good look around. We also returned after our Theresa Creek Dam Camping Trip to stay at another Caravan Park in the Gemfields area – should get Kyle onto creating his own Vision Board hey!
How spooky is that story? Kyle seen a fossicking magazine and seen a picture of this big pick. And even kept the picture and yet didn’t tell us that he wanted to stay at the Blue Gem Caravan Park yet we stopped and stayed there!
You so should have seen his face when we got to this statue and realised we were staying here for the night! It was a classic. I didn’t end up setting up my massage table as there was only one other family there at the time, and next door had a sign out the front of the area massage therapist.
The Sapphire Gemfields have so many amazing properties set up with all types of homes on it – its a fossicking area where people have set up either permanent houses on their block of land, or live in caravans/sheds/motorhomes/home made accommodation. It was so what Kyle would love – he would love to live there and look for the next big treasure. He still tells me that he is going to go back one day and find his sapphire!
David used to work in the mining industry – way before we had three kids. I was pregnant with our third when he got out of the industry. And spooky enough he used to drive these very trucks – for Evan Bank Hire Company!
It was like we were meant to be in The Sapphire Gemfields.
We did return to the Gemfields area after our week in Clermont. And We did experience an underground mine tour – which Kyle so loved.
And he still talks about the amazing Sapphire and Rubyvale. He would love to move to Rubyvale and have his own block of land to go under ground and fossick every day. With his incredible law of attraction anything is possible for him!
Stayed Tuned for More of our Camping, Fossicking, Exploring and getting lost along the way 🙂
Have You Been To The Sapphire Gemfields?
Blue Gem Caravan Park is up next, and then the tour of Clermont – where we visited the smoke stack.
Share this post and leave a comment about your law of attraction experience…..
Cheers
