Today Lady Musgrave Experience organised a morning out on the ocean, with a “Welcome Whales To Bundaberg” Ceremony, from the local Aboriginal Tribe to start the Whale Cruising Season with smoke, and to say thanking you for the people of the land.
It was a perfect day to be out on the Ocean – even if it was a very short time and there weren’t any whales to be seen, it was the most gorgeous way to spend Sunday morning. One experience we highly recommend.
Morning tea was included in the ticket price – the tour was for the benefit of the locals to experience the Lady Musgrave Boat, and the amazing crew on board – all who were extremely polite and very friendly. Tickets were only $20.00 – throw in the morning tea that was on offer the tour was basically free!! Well worth the Lady Musgrave Experience Welcome Whales To Bundaberg.
Bundaberg Homeschooling group experienced the Whale Tour a few years back – so worth it as we got to see them up close and personal, even if most of the group did get seasick!! Today I was ready with arm pressure bands, and the sea sickness tablet that works – mind you the water was so clear and so calm today that I don’t think I really needed them!
Kyle and I had the best time out on the water. We are super keen to now get our little sweet trailer boat out there.
On our way back to our motorhome we checked out the Bundaberg Sailing Club – to ask about membership and how much it will cost to store our boat as well as when the Learn To Sail begins for the year.
We would love to thank Lady Musgrave Experience company for organising The Welcome Whales To Bundaberg Ceremony, for the wonderful morning out at sea, the morning tea, and the calm waters. We can’t wait to go again this year so that we can see the whales.
