*** This was written before the Virus exploded and the world changed with all the nuts that went with it…and the restrictions came into place. So now its all about Take-away in Bundaberg and some of the cafes are now closed. The ones that are still open are serving the most amazing take-away menus/meals and just need you to get in touch with them to place an order!
Stay safe – take care of you and your family where ever you are. My heart is breaking for all the full-time travellers that are scared and left with no-where to go. Please reach out to us – there are air Bnb’s that are offering full-time travellers a place to park up and stay for a longer period of time. Fully furnished homes/apartments ready to be rented.
We love cafes. We love to eat out and about in Bundaberg. We love coffee – yes we got told we are addicted to coffee – better than alcohol hey!
What About Food Restrictions?
We are {well I am} Keto, Gluten Free, Sugar Free so its not always easy to eat out and about so Where To Eat In Bundaberg is a list of where we will eat at cafes/bakery/taverns. We have found a few places where I can eat safely. Not all of the time is it Keto, but most of the time it is Gluten Free.
Where To Eat In Bundaberg?
1. Oodies Cafe
No brainer -but we LOVE and RECOMMEND Oodies Café as our favourite place to eat. It has amazing coffee – fantastic Smoothies, Gluten Free Treats – and even incredible menu that David loves. They have the best burgers! Kyle loves going to Oodies for their Burger/Chips. I normally get either a green smoothie or a fantastic summer salad.
The best part of Oodies café is the atmosphere inside – the motivational quotes, the quirky little décor, the friendly staff members, the paintings, the plants growing…Kyle and I have sat there on their comfy chairs playing UNO while I had a migraine and they gave me ice-cubes to put on the back of my neck!

2. Street Bean Coffee
They used to be called Nourish Café. But recently they have had a brand change – they are now called Street Bean Coffee. And oh my gosh – they have the best Coffee in Town. I love their Bullet Proof Coffee. They also have the best Smoothie Bowls ever. I have tried three of them so far – and can’t wait to go back next time we are in town. You wouldn’t believe how such a cute small café can produce amazing food.
Every time its David’s Birthday I buy a gluten free treat from there and take it to him – along with a Cappuccino – as he loves celebrating his birthday with a yummy slice and coffee

3. Spotted Dog Tavern
Its so weird – we have driven past the spotted dog so many times and never stopped there! Then one day Dave was like – hey where can we go, and I wanted to visit a café we haven’t been to before so I suggested the Spotted Dog. Super glad that I did – because their Pumpkin Salads are amazing. Dave and Kyle can still get their favourites – Burger for Dave and Fish/Chips for Kyle. And yes they also make amazing coffee!
The best aspect of the Spotted Dog is the owner – he walks around the hotel and helps out in anyway possible. His friendly hello and how are you doing, and the way he treats the staff members – its seems like a really great place and everyone seems so friendly. The atmosphere is just as good as the food and it will either make or break a place!

4. Brothers Leagues Club
We don’t really go to Brothers Leagues Club for their menu/food. But Dave and I will go there for their Coffee/Gluten Free Treats. Its not something we do often — but sometimes its like a place where we will go if we are heading home and need a coffee before going anywhere.
There is one staff member who makes the best coffee ever! Way better than any of the other cafes in Bundaberg – I love a Long Black Coffee and sometimes its burnt. But he makes it the best – not burnt but tastes so yummy

5. The Windmill Cafe
Okay its not really in Bundaberg – but in Bargara. The Windmill Cafe is our all time favourite spot in Bargara.
Only for their coffee/smoothies/ice-creams and Green Smoothie Bowls. We don’t really go there for the rest of their menu so I can’t tell you what their burgers are like – but we do love their salads/smoothie bowels. Even Kyle will eat their dragon fruit smoothie bowl! He loves it 😉

6. The Pocket Storehouse
Its not really a café -its a bakery and its only open on Saturday morning – but its our favourite all time bakery as it has the most yummiest Sour Dough Bread and treats. I haven’t tried their coffee so I am not sure what it is like. They even make Hot Cross Buns at Easter time – so yes I will break my Keto Diet for a slice of their Sour Dough Bread or even a naughty Donut!

7. Nanas Pantry
We go to Nanas Pantry for all of our herbs/spices/peanut butter/nuts and also for their Gelato.
It has the most amazing flavours of Gelato – and every time we get one we are blown away by the taste of them. I couldn’t even say which one is our favourite flavour – they all are!

These are the 7 Top Places of Where To Eat in Bundaberg that we eat at. I am sure there are heaps more – and if I find anymore then I will come back here and add them! Cause we do have our 25th Wedding Anniversary coming up – mind you we will be in the Goldcoast as Kyle has a huge karate competition coming up.
Can You Recommend Where To Eat in Bundaberg?
Cheers
