Dinner For Two and Ice-Cream As Well

Saturday night David and I decided to have dinner out. It’s been so long since we have had time to ourselves. It would have been nice to have a weekend together but dinner was the next big thing!

Hey does anyone want to baby sit our four boys so we can have dinner/weekend to ourselves (yeah I know I am really funny!)

We had a perfect day in Paradise with our boys throughout the Saturday, finishing the day with Dinner for two and ice-cream as well was like having the cake and eating the icing!

Coolum Is Our Choice For Dinner

We headed to Coolum, a little later than we would have liked. Hopeful that we would find something opened. The forces that be was smiling down on us as we were able to find a great Thai place called “Hot Chilli Bean Thai Cafe” down a side street. The owner whose name also happened to be David kindly let us have a table – even though the kitchen was almost closed.

After sitting down and looking over the menu we were ready to order. It’s a BYO restaurant so we settled for Ginger Beer (for David) and I had an Apple and Mango Drink.

For Starters we shared Mixed Entrees – Spring Roll, Cuttlefish Balls, Fish Cakes, Curry Puffs

For Main meal – David picked the Special – which was a spicy Chilli Lamb Dish

I picked the Pad Thai with prawns Stir Fried noodles with egg, bean sprouts and crushed nuts

The meal was ordered and delivered to our table so very fast. Faster then we expected.

Both of our dishes not only looked nice, they tasted nice as well :)Davids dish was really spicy – perfect for our love of Thai Food! I loved mine but wished I thought to ask for it have Chillies added to the dish!

The best part of the night was being able to have a meal where we could talk about our lifestyle, our dreams, our desires and share our love of travel desires.

After dinner we headed to a ice-cream place that was on the main street of Coolum.

A real ice-cream with waffle cones….in the most amazing shop front display that I have ever seen! I so want to go back again so that I can get a photo of how cute it is…oh OK and try another flavour of ice-cream!

David decided to try two flavours. He had pistachio and Pavlova

I thought I would be half good and have one scoop of ice-cream. I chose my all time favorite – Coffee Flavoured. Gosh was I glad as the scoops are fantastic value for money!

While we were eating our ice-creams from Caribbean Dreams Gelati we sat over looking the water front! Watching the waves coming in….well it was more of listening to the waves come in as we couldn’t actually see the beach due to the lack of the moonlight!

To end a perfect day, perfect evening, perfect meal we walked along the beach!

Cheers

Lisa

PS – So Sorry that I have no photos – our camera is broken at the moment and I am not sure what to do!

Sounds divine Lisa! It is good to be able to get away on your own for a change and have a discussion without interruption from a child sharing an urgent piece of information or urgently needing advice or worse still having to be a referee!!
Glad you were able to get a table at such late notice.

    Hi Lisa,
I hadn’t had a night out for ages and my requests fall on deaf ears.
So New Years Eve I took myself out but it just wasn’t the same
Sounds like you had a lovely time .

My News Resolution is: To live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

      Hi Rita,

Its so good to get out and about for dinner! So important to have “us time” or “me” time. Maybe you could go out with a great friend/or family member?

      Take care.
      Cheers
