We are addicted to Geocaching big time! Well Kyle and I are – David and Cameron don’t seem to have the patience for the search of the different type of caches, which is a shame cause its so much fun. And its a great way to see more of Australia.
We are driving down roads we wouldn’t know about, and seeing buildings we wouldn’t know were there!
Its a perfect way to see Australia, and to see the surrounding Bundaberg area. And there is a rush that I can’t explain with Geocache Finds in Bundaberg – some of the caches are so small you have to really think outside the box, others are large containers and Kyle loves finding those the most because there are so many trinkets inside to swap with!
The smaller ones are called “Nano” caches – they are so small you will be amazed they can fit any paper into them!
We have shared How We Geocache With our Boys, hope that gives the inspiration to get out there looking in your own area 🙂
This is a magnetic Cache, and you could be driving past its location and wouldn’t even know! And yep Kyle loves to go bear feet all of the time 🙂
We then drive down another Road and find this amazing Country Hall. Its Waterloo Community Hall at Yandaran. Where they have meet ups/BBQ and get together with the local communities.
Sometimes I don’t even get out of the Car and he has the Cache in hand, its very spooky how he knows where to look, and how fast he can find them! PS – there is a nano Picture at the end of this blog post!!
Kyle asked me to stop the Campervan so that I could take this Picture for him! Of course I was happy to 🙂
And its amazing where Caches are Placed!
You really start to wonder – Am I looking at caches hiding spots and don’t even realise it? The other day we found one in a cemetery, and you wouldn’t believe what it was hiding in! That one really took a lot of thinking about!
See we would’t have seen this cute Letter box if we hadn’t been out Geocaching! There are so many more Geocache Finds in Bundaberg for us to look up, and to then work out where they are located. We can’t wait to get a Hand held GPS as it will make it so much easier for us when we do go out exploring.
Here is the PS Picture that I mentioned above!
Yep is super tiny, and sometimes you will miss it at first!
Do You Like Geocaching In Bundaberg?
Cheers
