I kept asking David every day if I was able to do a vlog update of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus! I was so keen to do an inside update of what David has achieved, and how much still needs doing but David wanted to wait until the bus was a bit cleaner!
Inside Of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus
Yippee – today I was able to walk into the bus without falling over all of his tools, mess, dust, paint, nails, glue, wood and so much more! I have been busy vacuuming up as much of the dust as possible and David spent about two hours cleaning up his tools last night so that there was nothing in my way for an Inside Of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus vlog! After walking through and looking at how much David has done to improve the Bus I was impressed….wonder what you think?
So the other day I did an Bus Update and Vlog with our bus, our bargain buys and revealed that we are working towards a deadline with a secret that will be soon revealed! I am still waiting for more information before I can share what or when we are heading out on to the road!! So its still a secret…but I do promise I will share with you all once I know more 🙂
Inside Of Rose Is Almost Finished!
So it is looking good but there is still so much more to do! We have the kitchen benches almost finished. David is waiting for a sink that we brought from eBay and then he has to organise the gas connection for the stove top. The foam is in (we already picked up most of it) so he can get started on making the lounges, the curtains material have been brought so I need to get onto making them, and the fridge needs to be organised. Amazing how much needs changing Inside of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus before we can travel!
Here is what David has completed Inside Of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus!
- Lounges are made and bolted down
- Pelmets are made and screwed in
- Lights are attached to one side of the bus Pelmets
- The bench tops are in
- Gas cook top is in, just needs to be connected
- New bathroom sink and cupboard is in
- All the doors are now on (after I finished my vlog David attached the rest of the cupboards)
- All of the Doors and draws have been rebuilt so that they open out instead of sliding doors!
- The bed is raised
- A washing machine that is big enough has been brought
- New wardrobes and overhead cupboards at the back of the bus are completed
- Safety switch is connected (thanks to the electrician!)
- All walls are fully lined
- Ceiling is lined
- All new windows are in
- Taking apart the front cupboards above the drivers seat
- New Drivers Seat is bolted in
Getting Ready For Traveling
Its a huge project getting a bus ready to travel on the road!! There probably is a list twice as long as this one of what still needs to be done to say that we are ready for free camping areas but I am so excited……I can see the light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
Once David has more completed I will do another Inside Of Rose The Lifestyle Challenge Bus update! We are not going to be painting the outside for some time due to our secret deadline, and also for security reasons! I have heard that Motorhomes that look shabby on the outside do not get broken into like the freshly painted Motorhomes!
Cheers

Lisa,i just checked out your blog, your husband has done a wonderful job! It looks great.I noticed you havent got handles on your cupboards yet….can i suggest buttonlocks for your cupboards? they have a button in the middle and youcan lock them while you are travelling and also act as handles. We have put them on all our cupboards. Check them out! First time we travelled in our bedford all the cupboards and fridge opened the first time we went around a corner! lol …
Hello Cheryl,
We are going to be using those button handles….we just haven’t got around to getting them yet 🙂 We might look on ebay and see what they have there!

Hi Lisa, David you are very clever! With the curtains at the front, why not make a rail behind the drivers seat for the curtain? Just a thought!
Keep doing your great work, it looks fantastic!
Hope to see you on the road one day!
Regards Willem.
Thanks Willem – not sure how David is doing the curtains at the front – will pass on your great tip!!!
