Nan Tien Temple Wollongong

Yeah I am still posting from when we visited places in Wollongong NSW even though we are now in Queensland! But I haven’t got the best internet connection here, a lot has happened and I still have so many amazing places that I want to share before I start sharing our trips from another state.

Did you know that connection here is that bad that it takes soooo long to upload anything, so long for facebook to work and so long for my emails to open up. So I haven’t even been online much cause I would rather spend time in the pool with my boys, or reading a good book.

Oh and I have pulled some serious tummy muscles lifting up boxes in our Shipping Container, so very sore – its feels like I have ripped tissue on the left of my body – in the inside. Not been this sore ever so I am taking it easy today.

But I thought I must share our trip to Nan Tien Temple Wollongong before I share our Macadamia Castle Trip……and I loved re-looking at all the photos from our visit.

It was a day trip awhile ago, I was fed up with our lack of Motorhome repairs, it was a very hot day and both David and I were fighting over our parenting styles – we don’t fight much but when we do I escape and he goes to work. We sure didn’t see eye to eye the night before, and we both needed some much needed time apart.

That day I drove by instinct, wondering where I was going to end up and found myself here ::

THE ENTRANCE TO NAN TIEN TEMPLE WOLLONGONG

The place was calling to me, and it made me feel so much better. Actually both Cameron and Kyle enjoyed it as much as I did – I would love to return one day for a weekend retreat!

Relaxation in the gardens

HAPPY GARDENS

The more we walked through the gardens, the more I felt myself relaxing, letting go and accepting our situation. It gave me a feeling of peacefulness which I was so in need of.

Kyle was totally loving the Statues – This was his idea….He sat there and then asked me to grab a Picture!!

LOOK AT MY WORLD

Kyle has come up with a favorite saying and his favorite pose – where ever we are he asks me to take a Picture of him standing like this, cause he wants to share “Look at My World”!

pathways around the temple

PATHWAYS LEADING TO MORE

The Temple has many pathways, many different garden displays and temples to enter. I wasn’t allowed to take any Photos of the inside of the Temples but I did manage to stand inside and feel the place. It has the most calming effect that one can feel.

HAPPY BUDDHA HAPPY KYLE

Nan Tien Temple Wollongong has two main temples, along with the dinning area facilities, cafe downstairs and accommodation block. We walked as many path ways as possible, doing the big loop on the grounds behind the main temple.

ANOTHER STEEP PATHWAY

The pathways are very steep – this one almost reminds me of “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” in “Wizard of OZ” πŸ™‚

Actually the pathways are so steep but feels so good for the lungs, the legs and the mind. This photo of walking up the hill is probably my favorite that I took that day because I was struggling with so much in my life at that moment in time yet the path to my happiness is always within.

RED LANTERNS ALONG THE PATHS

We walked up the pathway to the big bell, rang it a few times, then took the pathway to the chair and back down to this pathway that took us back to the Nan Tien Temple. We spent about three hours there, and could easily have spent longer if we had more time…maybe we will go back if we are ever down that way!

motivational quotes

QUOTES ALONG THE WALLS

The walls outside the temples {under cover} have quotes on them….I was captivated by all of the different quotes, but especially by this one!

“Plan Carefully Before You Act” – so loved that one!!! Need to apply more planning to my life so that New Life on the Road can have many more adventures ahead for 2015.

Have You Been To the Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong?

Cheers
