We had dinner every night as a family of 10 in the Restaurant – Hayden {our oldest} booked it as soon as we got on board the Pacific Jewel for 7.45pm every night.
And it was great to spend time with family over a meal, yet at the same time can you imagine how much fun it was trying to get all of our boys ready for showers, and dressed up in time! Yeah we were late nearly every night 🙂
The food was superb – it was a three course meal that changed every night – how can they carry that much food on board a cruise ship for so many people? Do they ever run out? Do they ever have to serve tin food cause all of the fresh food has run out?
We had lots of questions….how full does the cruise have to be for them to leave? Do they ever cancel the cruise cause they didn’t have enough people booked on board?
One of my bucket list moments was to see a Sunset and a Sunrise which I got to do both of! Mind you not on the same day 🙂
I stated to everyone that I wanted to see a Sunset on the Pacific Jewel, and David was happy enough to make it happen, to share it with me and to take sneaky pics!
This trip was about a lot of #Bucketlist moments – we have had a cruise in our hearts for so very long. And because David works so very hard, and we saved all of our money all five of our boys was able to be on the cruise with us. We are so very grateful for that family time – creating memories with our boys is what we wanted so much, and we got a lot of great memories.
Our dinner time at the Restaurant :
Watching the Sunset over the railing of the Pacific Jewel. Not sure where we were or even what day this was! But it was so beautiful watching the Sunset. Days seemed to roll into one big day – I even got confused at one stage with how many days we had left which was good cause we had more than I thought!
David was very sneaky! He took this picture while I was watching the sunset – #Bucketlist moment crossed off again!
I love watching the Sun go down on another day, its magical and it warms me up!
Do You Prefer The Sunset or The Sunrise?
Sunset on the Pacific Jewel – funny enough we were still in Australia Waters but mostly we had dropped out of internet/phone range and yet sometimes we would be close enough to the coast to reconnect. But I liked my time offline – it was so nice to be offline to connect with family.
Whats On Your Bucket List?
Here is our blog posts about the cruise so far –

New Life on the Road.
I love sunsets. I love to sit and look at the sunset for a little while each day. Mother Nature is amazing. Each one is different just like every day. It is a way of saying “ok that day is over “- whether good or bad – and I use that that time to reflect. Being thankful and joyful. Being sad or thoughtful. To me it is also a good time of day to have a glass of wine and sit and realise what to be grateful for too. I also love sunsets cause I am not a morning person (and you can’t drink wine at breakfast either) lol
Oh so very true, each Sunset is so different every day!! I love that you sit and take time to reflect, such a great way to appreciate life! Yeah I am so not a morning person either!
It was a nice and great place to view for amazing sunsets.
Fantastic Snaps, especially walking in the sunset over the railing on the Pacific Jewel.
