This week I have been tested for sure! But its be in a good way. At first we lost New Life on the Road for two whole days. Everyone was amazing with how much support that they were giving us, and offering heaps of hints n tips on what to do to get if fixed!
Thanking David Moloney from Small Business Planned who suggested to David that it was a plug-in issue!
What A Week We Have Had Online
Yes. David Moloney. Was. Right! It was a Plug-in Issue.
So hubby Dave took every Plug-in away and one by one added them back in. As soon as we added the sharing plug-in “Digg Digg” it cause havoc once again with our blog. So for now we have no sharing buttons – no twitter buttons, no digg buttons, no Stumble Upon buttons, no Facebook like buttons.
Dreaming of Sitting On A Beach 🙂
We have tried another sharing plug-in called “Sexy Bookmarks” a few months back and it made our blogs muck up so we had to take that one away. If you are a blogger and know of a another “Sharing” Plug-in that we can use, please could you share the name of it?
This Morning Was The Start Of Another Day!
This morning I woke up and logged into Facebook – to find out that someone in NSW had hacked my account, so facebook decided to “Freeze” everything!
All I could think about was all of my amazing photos that I have placed on there, and what someone might be sending out as me?
Not sure how anyone can hack into a facebook account, not sure why anyone would want to, but so glad that I was able to change my password and wait a few hours for Facebook to allow my account to become live once more!
Our blog is now live once again.
My facebook account is now up and running.
What About The Rest of The Week?
After coming back from Melbourne unexpected trip (gosh was that magical!) I have been working double time to get everything done online. Our computer is playing up – and every few minutes it freezes and I have to wait before I can type again!
David’s computer has crashed and its only a year old. So we are both trying to work with mine which is also about a year old but is only just able to cope with what I need done! Bit hard to be a full-time blogger, facebook and twitter fan when the computer you work on is mucking up.
If you know of a company who would love to donate their computer to us, then please forward our details onto them!
The Best Hi-light of My Week
On Friday I was able to pick up my older son from Marocchydore Airport. That was my all time hi-light of this week….to have my family back together for Christmas is magical. To have my boys together is my Christmas present – forget the gifts for me this year, all I want is my family to be happy and spending time together!
Our older Son!
Another amazing hi-light was going out to dinner on Thursday night with other bloggers in Coolum. We went to a nice little cafe which I didn’t even know existed.
It is called “My Place” and is on David Low Way Coolum. It was so nice to eat dinner with like-minded people, enjoy swapping stories and having a good laugh! Highly recommend you Join Queensland Bloggers on Facebook so that you can find out when the next blogging meet up will be. Thanks sent to Annabel from Get In The Hot Spot for arranging the whole event!
Meeting for dinner/blogging at “My Place” – gorgeous cafe at Coolum!
Another Crazy Road Trip Ahead
We have to drive back to Bundaberg for Xmas. YES you read the right words…we have to drive up to Bundaberg to be with hubby’s parents! It’s not the trip that I am dreading – oh ok that is part of it….can you imagine driving 5 hours in-car with five boys who NEVER EVER stop talking? I mean one of our boys talks in his sleep 🙂
It’s not that we are driving back that is the issue.
Its more that we have already been there for 7 months of this year.
Its more about that we want to head South as soon as possible not North!
Its more about our car needs major fixing – and no it’s not worth getting it done. We are nursing it along for about 12-18 months and then we can down size to a smaller car as our second son wants to also join the navy. Gosh a smaller car will feel weird!
Its more about that we are leaving the bus parked here and only taking the car.
Its more about wanting to see more of Australia that we havent seen before, not exploring parts of the same country again!
But this Xmas is going to be different!
This year is about giving.
We are hoping to help in Bundaberg on Christmas Day – within a service that serves up meals! It would be good to help those in need.
We are hoping that our boys learn to love spending time with each other instead of spending money on gifts that we have no where to store in our bus!
Am I asking For Too Much this Christmas? I just want to know that this week ahead is going to be better, and the online technical world is kinder to our blog…and facebook pages.
What A Week We Had Online
When I look back on the week I had online it seems like nothing.
Today we drove to Peregian Markets. Along the way, on the same stretch of Road, was two cars that had turned over and had landed in trees on the side of the road.
One looked like it had rolled and rolled before landing upside down into a tree. The other one (a ute) looked like the driver lost control on the bend in the road and hit the tree front on.
Both cars were a mess.
Both vehicles had Blue Police Tape wrapped around the cars.
Both did not look like anyone could have walked away.

Please take care when driving this Christmas.
Please stay alive – five minutes of speed is not worth it if you are not going to make your destination alive.
On a happier note we had fun at the Peregian Markets! They were the last market for the year, and even in the rain our boys had so much fun. What I love about those markets are the variety of each store.
Peregian Markets – on the Beach front!
The antiques. The cute little home-made dresses that look like they should be in designer boutique Stores in Sydney.
The amazing selection of food, gifts, plants, books, home-made lemonade and so much more!
How Was Your Week Just Gone?
Cheers
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
what an eventful week – and great that you have the whole family back together.
I think your idea to help others this christmas is amazing – this is the real christmas spirit, not the spending of money but sharing your time, knowledge and ability with others.
And thanks also for the tip with Queensland Bloggers, didn’t know about this FB group. I hope they allow me in 🙂
Even though you will be further north than you wanted, I wish you and your familly a wonderful Christmas!

Hi Guys
Your computers seem to need a bit of tender care. If you are using them alot they need to be cleaned regularly. I have used Tuneup Utilities for around 4yrs and it is a very good program to keep your computers in top condition.

Hi Mick,
David used the Tuneup Utilities for his computer – and it crashed! I am thinking that I need my computer cleaned off and stared all over again – but I am too scared to 🙂
We sure need some TLC for Daves computer – its a matter of getting around to sending it off to be done!
Cheers

You oldest son look likes a great young man. I have a 19 year old and it’s been a wonderful thing to watch him grow. Where did the years go!!!

Hi Lisa, Great work on getting your site back up and running. Cheers for the shout out too 🙂
Over the last week I travelled up to Port Macquarie in NSW for a friends wedding. Had a great merry time which really set the festive Christmas tone. I’m even listening to a Xmas album now – getting into the spirit.
