The reason we went to the GoldCoast for a very brief family get together was to see Outback Spectacular. We have been a few years back with our younger two sons, but we wanted to experience it again with our older sons.
We have three of our birthdays in June. Mine and two of our sons – we never get to celebrate all together due to their jobs and shift work – so we couldn’t get together in June but we made sure we had a weekend free in July. It was so good – we had the best time ever.
They do change their storyline – last time was about “High Country Legends” theme. This theme was all about the drought going through Australia and how hard our farmers are trying so hard to keep their own farms. Third family farming generations are losing their farms because the banks are taking them away.
I preferred the previous theme – whereas our youngest son and Hubby preferred this theme – I felt like the storyline was not flowing as well as the previous storyline. Our older two sons loved the theme because they want everyone to know how important our farmers are, and to show how much we need rain for our farmers to last.
I so feel for our farmers – I couldn’t be a farmer, waiting for the rain to come, and then not wanting the rain to come so that they can harvest their produce. It would be so heartbreaking for them all – waiting for the rain, trying to feed their stock, trying to keep the farm still in the family generations.
We really want to go back as soon as we can – so that our son Cameron and Nicholas can also see Outback Spectacular show.
Just trying to find the time where everyone get time off together!
WE Love the Goldcoast
But we couldn’t live there. We would live on the Sunshine Coast, we love Buderim area.
Anywhere there is an ocean – anywhere there is a beach as it makes me happy.
Have You Been To Outback Spectacular?
Cheers
Lisa
New Life on the Road
Wow, that sounds like such a fun experience! Anything with horses already makes me want to go.
Australia’s has me very concerned. Not that we can do much about it, but I certainly can see how it would impact families around the country. Couple that with fires and the difficulty providing enough water for Australia’s growing population, and I can see that it might be one of the country’s most pressing issues.

Looks like a good experience. I love the outback traveling. Specially done with an RV with the family.
