On Sunday we were trying to decide where to head to after seeing our oldest son off. We were thinking about the National Park but soon our plans had to change…..Cameron came down with the worse case of Car Sickness he has ever had.
We actually had to exit stage left into a side street, and let him jump on out asap so that he could get some colour back into his cheeks.

Poor little guy. I used to get car sick when I was little if I looked down, and I can’t even read a map now. But sorry, no remedies 🙁

I used to get dreadfully car sick on a 40-minute windy, non sealed road to our home on a farm after our weekly or fortnightly trip to town. UGH, poor thing x

Nice pictures, just dizzy!
GINGER! For emergencies, a quarter teaspoon of minced ginger will taste revolting but will get rid of the dizzy sickness feeling in seconds. (Honestly, it works that quickly, I promise). Or if you are able to predict (say if you know you’ll be driving down national park style windy roads) then get the kids to eat some gingerbread men or ginger snaps or something about half an hour beforehand.

If you find a remedy, let me know! I get car sick all the time. Randomly, too. I’ve given up doing anything in the car (if I’m not driving) and just closing my eyes. I can’t read or do anything on long trips which is so boring.
